To be fair, their products are new products - I'm sure the design isn't licensed, maybe Mondo figured out a way to get the rights? - A bunch of Etsy stuff can't compare to the Mondo machine in terms of reach and "pop culture" cred.

What's there to license here? A pattern? Would a film company in the 70s even go so far as to create the rights to even own something like this? It's a novel idea but I really think they're beginning to over extend themselves and seriously need to consider refocusing on what made them popular in the first place.
