Brock N Roll
Hey guys, I'm needing to get a free virus protection for my PC. I don't know much about this kinda stuff so I was just curious to what's the best protection I can get for free? Any help would be appreciated. StrangeTerrain
Checking that out now. Thanks yeah basically the full version only comes with "advanced firewall" which if you use windows it doesnt really matter because there is firewall included

thejesseb
I just use Windows Security Essentials. From what Ive read on different tech sites it is really all you need. It is free as well. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download

radiatorhums
Just being a snob, I've heard MS security essentials does a good job.
rtw88
Yeah. Microsoft Security Essentials with Malwarebytes in case you happen to get a virus should be sufficient so long as you aren't cruising around really bogus sites.

It is free as well. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download I use this as well, but it takes forever to do a full scan, but at least it never catches anything. I'm not sure how long it takes for everyone else though.

Are Bangbros, Brazzers, and Naughty America considered bogus sites? If they are, I'm in for a world of hurt.
Brock N Roll
Really though, thanks for the suggestions. I have 4 days left on my current protection so I'll look into all these and roll with one of them. I just didn't want to spend the money on one when I know I can get a free one that does the same thing.

tittus
Haven't had anti-virus protection in a while. Ran into one or two funny things in the last 5-6 years and ran System Restore. Good as new.
