psus2h
Into the Wild Tron Legacy Perks of Being a Wallflower Into the wild is great, but let's be honest it's an Eddie Vedder solo album, officially it's a OST, and a damn good one. But if the OP is looking for scores.....

74R
It's gotta be The Wicker Man!! I'm assuming you don't mean the remake right? Genius! In the woods there grew a tree And a fine fine tree was he And on that tree there was a limb And on that limb there was a branch And on that branch there was a nest And in that nest there was an egg And in that egg there was a bird And from that bird a feather came And of that feather was A bed And on that bed there was a girl And on that girl there was a man And from that man there was a seed And from that seed there was a boy And from that boy there was a man And for that man there was a grave From that grave there grew A tree
scissorkik
Good soundtracks to get: the soundtracks for movies that you like? Did you ever think some movies that I haven't seen might have good soundtracks?
scissorkik
Some that are named before and that you must check: Maniac, Drive, Under the Skin, Walter Mitty. Some that have not been named before: The Visitor: this has been on repeat for 2 weeks in my house and in my car and at my work Dallas Buyers Club: Some good tunes on this one. The Congress: Order that one now on amazon before it sells out. Everything from Max Richter is beautiful Filth from Clint Mansell and one game ost: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Definitely gonna look into Dallas Buyers Club that's such a good movie! Waters
It's been said a couple times here, but Room 237 is really good. Also, I love the Virgin Suicides (expensive) and Lost in Translation (cheapish bootlegs available)
74R
Did you ever think some movies that I haven't seen might have good soundtracks? ...and on the same note. Liking a movie alone doesn't mean you need or want to own the soundtrack. I love Wall-E but I don't need to own the OST. Unless it has a track that says "foreign contaminant" like 10 times in a row. Would probably make me laugh every time that track came on.

Eliminator Jr.
My favorite soundtrack is Lost in Translation. Got an OG copy as a birthday gift about eight years ago. Makes me happy every time I'm pulling it out the shelves. Also a big fan and collector of soundtracks by Angelo Badalamenti and Ennio Morricone. Especially the latters work on italian b-movie thrillers from the early 70's are essential to me.

AndrewNstuff
Didn't read every page but if no ones said it yet, the best overall soundtrack and collection of music belongs to PULP FICTION. I recommend picking this up asap. It's a cheap record with great songs and a few choice movie clips thrown in there without being over bearing. Not sure if they make it on vinyl but the forest gump soundtrack would be great too!
watchtower41
Can't believe nobody has mentioned it.... The Big Lebowski is stellar. Also a big fan of Dazed and Confused.

74R
I tend to like soundtracks that bring me back to particular parts that were burned into my brain while watching a film. I saw both Godzilla and World War Z and can't say that either of these would have tracks like that. But whenever I hear Barber's "Adagio For Strings" I think of Elias' death scene in Platoon. Or when Tom Hanks explains "La Mamma Morta" to Denzel Washington in Philadelphia. And the one that always brings a tear to my eye, "Somebody To Love" by Jefferson Airplane & the movie Cable Guy. southern
That's really good - Jim Kelly! Watch out for the hand, Jim! If you haven't, you should check out the Black Belt Jones OST. Dennis Coffey is a god!
southern
Not only is Eric Andre one of the funniest dudes on the planet, he's got great taste in soundtracks. Check out this video of him at Amoeba in LA: http://www.amoeba.com/whats-in-my-bag/detail/596/
74R
Haha. He's totally right about the Italian OSTs from back then and the Cash Money records. I still love Project Pat. I picked up this 60s-70s collection of songs from French movies a while back for only $15 and it rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3qevr3sSjc
