Princess Logan
Target > Walmart even though I've never been locked in a Walmart before.
konk
No one has. That said, wal-mart is the biggest and best so their way of doing things is probably the best way. Unlike our employer who is still trying to figure stuff out and will never beat wal-mart.

konk
I took it as working overnight when the store was closed. I'm still not convinced that was the wrong use of "best". Researching now.
Princess Logan
More like a terrifying accident that resulted in tons of hugs, apologies, and maybe setting off some alarms. I laugh about it now, nothing worth anyone getting in trouble for. People now stop me in the store and go "wait, weren't you that girl who got locked in Target?" I forgot this story didn't make it outside of the Small Talk thread.

jhulud
As many of us surely here, I've been listening to 1989 a lot lately, so much so that when the Beautiful Eyes EP came on the iPod shuffle today, it felt like a completely different artist. biodigitaljazz
I have been rocking out to 1989 heavy every day. And I don't think in the near future I can go back... Not even to fearless... Until I run 1989 into the ground. Snaggle Von Swift
gutzonborglum
Ya know, Taylor Swift isn't exactly blazing new trails. Both Neil Young and Tom Waits, to name a few, have put out vastly different albums throughout their careers, and it has only proven them to be that much more bulletproof. I absolutely love the fact that I can wake up and feel like listening to a certain type of Neil Young. I welcome the change.
jhulud
Change is good and great. I always applaud and welcome bands' and artists' willingness to evolve and change their sounds throughout their career and discography. It makes me appreciate that music even more so as the years progress. I commend Swift for looking to evolve and shift things around. More power to her. I just wanted to comment on how jarring of a shift in sound and style it was from those early days to now. Not knocking it at all.
Metal Mike
Gonna wait for an "official" announcement, but this got me so pumped I think posts from Juan on this subject count as "official." tape
jhulud
Ha! Thanks, Mike. That just threw me back to the one time at the DFHVN show talking to Mikey and his girlfriend, and Mikey then saying "Speaking on country and Swift, this is the guy!"...and you looking at me and going "Oh, here we go!". Ha! Metal Mike
