Shitty Rambo
As much as it pains me to admit, how about those Glassjaw "coloring book" records? I remember people in that thread saying it was a nightmare to play them, especially because they didn't have much weight per piece.

piaptk
Stupid and Gimmicky is our middle name.In addition to our six sided record (already mentioned) Here is a 4 sided disc I did for Joyful Noise And one I'm about to release for Money Mark (Beastie Boys) and Patrick Keeler (Raconteurs/Greenhornes). And of course, the CD-Record Series And these are pretty neat.. each one is unique... we hand-cut away the protective plastic in the shape of the band name with an exacto and peeled it away and then my 4-year old daughter and I psychedelic painted them. And the Golden Boots X-Ray 7"s (Done BEFORE that OTHER guy did his, by the way) And the This Frontier Needs Heroes Pyramid Shaped picture disc lathe cut: And I did a run of records made out of Picnic Plates: And some 4x5" sets inside hand bound and foiled, silkscreened, etc readers digest books. rooks and backpackoat

cambionic
Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh! The Record, Son Of Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh!, and Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh! - A Music War released by Slap A Ham (known for gimmicky stuff like this). It was 40+ bands on a single 7" record. Sixteen Saltines, known for the liquid filled variant, also had a playable etching. And that Dead Weather Triple Decker Record. Then there's the whole Lazarretto cornucopia of gimmicks - though the hologram etching is pretty fucking rad. TMR is king of gimmick. Jack White is the Willy Wonka of vinyl. Mars
Even stuff like removable centre labels (likeon Lazaretto?) You don't need to remove the labels to play those 'hidden' tracks, they play over the labels. TMR also did the 'triple-decker" that had a 7" inside of a hollow 12" and you had to break it open if you wanted to hear the 7"
xadamhudsonx
No Idea put out Young Livers' Of Misery and Toil as a "Full Metal Jacket" edition. The sleeve was made out of sheet metal with the artwork screenprinted on it.
