steventangent
I'm heading to Louisville this coming weekend to see Murder By Death, followed by a short jaunt out to Nashville. I don't have a lot of time in either place, but if anybody can recommend some essential places to check out - including, but not limited to, guitar shops, record stores, weird museums and roadside america bullshit tourist trap attraction enjoyments, that would be super helpful. Thanks!
birdwell
Nashville: if you're not vegetarian eat at Pharmacy, I you are vegetarian go hit up The Wild Cow. Record stores Grimey's (Grimey's Too) and The Groove. Go tour United Records record pressing plant.
dawhizz
Since Ear X-Tacy closed, I haven't been too impressed by the record stores in Louisville, though Underground Sounds is OK, and if you go, have dinner at Jack Fry 's around the corner. TheGhostOfRandySavage
For real. I still have like a $20 gift card I never got to use! Ps. Are we neighbors and I didn't know it?!? Haha, not unless you live in Portland, Oregon! I used to live in southern Indiana, and most of my family still lives down that way.

steventangent
That show was really something. If anybody else is going...wear comfortable shoes! The floor is hard and really uneven.

scottheisel
I ate amazingly well in Louisville. Garage Bar and Holy Grale were the best places we went but everything was delicious everywhere. I hit up three record stores too and found plenty of great vinyl for cheap. Looking forward to coming back someday!
