Shelby
THIS IS THE GREATEST NEWS EVER. I never thought I would own Secret Knowledge of Backroads on vinyl. This also means the exta CR,CR and Wowee Zowee material will make it in Vol 2 and 3.
ratbrain
they're never gonna do the deluxe edition of Terror Twilight, are they?

Moglog
they're never gonna do the deluxe edition of Terror Twilight, are they? I totally forgot they just stopped after Brighten the Corners...weird. TT is seriously underrated.
moodist
they're never gonna do the deluxe edition of Terror Twilight, are they? Nope. Not enough extra/unreleased material to warrant it. I totally forgot they just stopped after Brighten the Corners...weird. TT is seriously underrated. I think it's rated as well as it's ever gonna get. That album still leaves a bad taste. Godrich, being the It Producer of the Day, sucked the fun out of that record and treated the rest of the band like nobodies. This new release seems pretty superfluous apart from those who need to have certain things on vinyl. Kinda disappointing really. agd
I totally forgot they just stopped after Brighten the Corners...weird. TT is seriously underrated. I think these are essentially vinyl releases of bonus material from the the expanded editions with possibly a few more treats when matador can scrounge them up. Matador said that there will be five, which makes me think that the last release will be basically what "Terror Twilight: Farewell Horizontal Edition" (that was the pending title when rumors began in 08/09ish) was supposed to be, minus the proper "Terror Twilight" cuts. Doesn't bother me. Got all the originals. Excited to get the bonus material.
youspinmeround
I am a huge Pavement fan but this doesnt interest me at all Most of this material is available elsewhere and its not like I am chomping at the bit to play some of this on the turntable Mourning Wood
mesi
Yeah, huge Pavement fan, but not sure either if this really is worth picking up on vinyl, mostly because I already own all the Deluxe editions on CD. Plus, if I fancy some Pavement, I would rather pull out an album than a collection of b-sides, as great as they may be.
Guest
Holy shit!!! Circa 1762 and that live version of Home that hands down destroys every other Pavement song ever? Yes please. Plus Baby Yeah is an amazing song. I have the Slanted Redux CDs and CD2 gets more play than any other Pavement album I have.

Shelby
Did I really just read "I have the CD already" as an excuse to not buy a vinyl record? Weird. I am a huge Pavement fan but this doesnt interest me at all Most of this material is available elsewhere and its not like I am chomping at the bit to play some of this on the turntable It's all bootlegs though. The Peel Session material is worth the price of admission alone. Stravinsky
j67ab
I too am a pavement freak, Ed Ames and circa 1762 are amazing songs!!!! Wish they did a color press or like throwing in a europatouren type extra.
j67ab
I see a trend here, we seem to post in a lot of the same threads.... Built to spill, pavement modest mouse. It's interesting about terror twilight I wrote it off when I first bought it, but it pops up at random on shuffle and I'll be thinking wow this is an amazing Pavement song! Kinda gives me that feeling when I first 'got' Watery Domestic.
Miamasa
Interesting.. Pitchfork says it's got a nice gatefold sleeve and a bunch of liner notes from SM, Spiral, etc. That's certainly a plus. I'm a sucker for all those extra goodies, like those booklets that come in those deluxe reissues. Don't really play CD's often but will probably get them all someday.. radiatorhums
I haven't really dove into any non-album material, but this seems like a good launching point. Plus, Matador prices are pretty fair still.
