tvham
The Giants game was insane today. I may have been stressing just a bit... http://instagram.com/p/uMqx-2Gbv_/
stl_ben
Cardinals seem to have never played baseball before. Beating them selves with dropped balls and wild pitches.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would be shocked if this series is less than 6 games
stl_ben
Really surprised the Cardinals made it as far as they did this year. Maybe they will work on their fundamentals next year.... ...MLB you have been fun this summer, but now its NFL time, I bid you Adieu
sacredheart
Never understood people who stop watching playoffs once their team is out. Wouldnt you want to see the best baseball has to offer?

stl_ben
Yes I am a fan of my team....pretty sure that is how 90% of people watch sports. Like Cubs fans probably don't even realize there is baseball in October.
3arl
Why is there a guy in full Marlins getup right behind home plate?

Like Cubs fans probably don't even realize there is baseball in October. So by that logic, only fans of the Broncos and Seahawks watched the Super Bowl last year. Makes sense. 3arl

tvham
Why is there a guy in full Marlins getup right behind home plate? http://blog.sfgate.com/hottopics/2014/10/22/who-was-that-guy-in-orange-behind-the-plate/ You couldn’t miss him — the middle-aged gentleman in Marlins orange against a sea of royal blue in one of the priciest seats at Kauffman Stadium. His name is Laurence Leavy. He’s a 58-year-old Miami lawyer and huge baseball fan who goes by Marlins_Man on Twitter. So huge, in fact, that he reportedly paid $8,000 to watch two teams that aren’t the Marlins play in the World Series. But his sartorial splendor didn’t sit well with the Royals front office, which apparently hates Miami orange as much as San Francisco orange. According to the Miami Herald, the Royals offered him a private suite if he moved or World Series goodies if he shed the offending jersey. Leavy didn’t budge. “The owner of the Royals was extremely upset that I was there,” he told the Herald. The Herald asked Leavy about his love for big-time sports events: “By his count, he’s gone to 27 Super Bowls, more than 200 NBA playoff games, and at least 85 World Series games, and many Triple Crown horse races.” That makes him sort of a modern-day Rollen Stewart, the born-again fan who showed up at countless major sports events in the ’70s and ’80s wearing a rainbow-colored afro-style wig and holding up signs reading “John 3:16.” Only Leavy gets even better seats than Rainbow Man did. Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed that Marlins_Man had celebrity company in the front row behind the plate. Two seats away was rapper Tech N9ne, a K.C. native and big Royals fan. Apparently no one objected to his wearing black instead of blue.
sacredheart
Maddon opted out of his contract and wont be back with the Rays next year. For some reason that really surprises me.

sacredheart
Probably the only dude who cares but Cabby a finalist for the AL Gold Glove GG are a joke, just look at Jeter. There have been many times players have had big offensive seasons with poor defensive seasons and still won the GG. Also last nights game was crazy good. Guest
Got home way too late last night, needing to be up somewhat early for work. Decided to watch 4 Nights in October 30 for 30 anyway. Fuck that was the greatest.

whoshotthefrog
The Taveras news is horrible. I know this may sound horrible, but his passing is causing me problems for two of my fantasy leagues. Was considering keeping him for next year in my keeper leagues.
