catalinacaper
Starting to wonder if something is wrong with Kershaw I'm not surprised at the result today... most pitchers struggle with grip in that cold of weather. I'm assuming you're talking about the whole season though.
thebiglebowski
Cabby coming up on 400th homer. Might be kinda fun to get some left field seats and hope. is a 400th dinger ball worth anything?
catalinacaper
It would at least get you a boatload of free swag signed by Cabby and whoever else.

Not meant to be dickish.. legitimately curious
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What is he doing differently that can't be explained by the team simply being better than their record? Not meant to be dickish.. legitimately curious Im not sure, I've read from reporters and interviews that he handles the club house differently than Ron did, and that Ron had lost the team down the stretch last year. They were hoping it'd change in the spring, but when it didnt and they won 5 games in April, that was that. He apparently also has some philosophical differences from Ron, too, in the way to approach the game, which, I guess is partially being attributed? Not really sure, the team just LOOKS different on the field/at bat, and plus, Craig is a hometown dude managing the team he grew up with, its just awesome in my mind. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/303220901.html

thebiglebowski
Damn I'm glad I played Kluber tonight. Hasn't exactly been Cy Young caliber and STL is a pretty good team. Almost overthought it.

Somehow he managed to pack a month and a half's worth of regression into one start.

stl_ben
Cards got hosed in that deal. Yes very much so. Was really looking forward to several years of a Miller/Wacha/Martinez rotation.

catalinacaper
woof, I just saw Heywards numbers... Shelby is pitching a full 2 runs below his FIP and xFIP but still, Heyward's bat just doesn't seem to be coming into form like everyone expected. thebiglebowski
His numbers aren't terribly different from his career stats. Just down a bit. More inclined to say that people shouldn't have expected anymore than to say this is unexpected.
