controlthebleeding
^ woodchuck?im not really a cider fan, but a lot of my friends drink that.... ...actually its mainly my female friends who dont like beer.... ....im not calling you a woman, but i am implying that you might be a little fruity..... well it was in the whine cooler section at the grocery store? lol... i never considered CIDERS as a form of womans drink. its just a different alcohol.. and it's a higher alcohol content. I just wanted to start comparing them so i'm a bit more knowledgeable of all alcoholic beverages rather than ports (which i don't like at all), pilsners, stouts, lagers, ales, etc etc.. i'm moving onto red wine next.. whoo hoo!!! and i've tasted moonshine, so i scratched that off the list. . it so miss going to the grocery store and being able to pick up a bottle of vodka.. damnit why cna't tx be like Los Angeles in that regard. A lot of dudes drank Strongbow at the Pub I hung out at in London when I semester'ed abroad there. i wish i lived near the liqour store, there's one by my work that's the size of a small wal-mart, but i never have a ride there to go pick and chose pints of various beverages. Grocery stores in Pennsylvania aren't allowed to sell any alcoholic beverages. Not even beer. It sucks.

Especiially the WaWa. that has to be the finest convenient store in the states (at least to me) I didnt even care that they didnt have beer. They had everything though. Going there at 4am to grab a sandwich was nice

momentumlost
if you're ever in Norwalk, CT theres a bar called the ginger man. seriously better than any bar ive been to in nyc..they have 50 or 60 beers on tap and between 40 and 80 different bottles. if anyone knows a bar like this in the city let me know, ive been contemplating going back to ct for a night just to hang there...they were a resturant, but @ 11 they stopped cooking, and they had couches, it was the best place to go with a bunch of friends and just hang out. We have a Gingerman here, but i don't think they are related, but here's a pic of the bar. That's only the beers they have on draght. they have over 100 in bottle, and probably about 12 or 13 ciders, and a good chunk of wine too. Teh Beer Yard was my distributor I used to go to, dude named matt. He bought me a PBR at christophers right there on 30. One thing about philly living that's better than GA living, is that you could go to a jewish deli and buy beer on SUNDAY. Fucking bible belt. I use to frequent the Gryphon pretty regularly. Actually about 3 to 4 mornings a week, because i use to work at the ACME in Wayne. It's so funny how you can walk across 4 towns in the span of 15 minutes. I really miss riding the train
Guest falloutcollapse
I've really only had white wine at my uncle's party once and it was a sip. I went to the Jack Daniel's Distillery in 7th grade with my dad in Tennessee, and the smell almost knocked me out. Since then, I never really wanted to ever try drinking. I still don't really want to.

goraiders
My friends and I had our first MPP ( Mario Party Party). Drinking game based on Mario Party that usually ends up in about 30 shots being distributed between four people. Then everyone else comes over, drinks more. We go make a mix and have a dance party. Mix ALWAYS includes super orgy porno party. We've had 12 now. Needless to say it was awesome.
311thrice
I took my first taste of beer a few years ago...Corona I believe. I hated it...once it went down, I made the worst face imaginable. I never wanted beer ever again. But people kept saying that it's an acquired taste. I didn't believe them, so I really never tried it again, until recently. My brother always has different types of beer in his fridge and lately, I've been trying them one by one. It still tastes terrible to me, but it gets more and more tolerable with each one I try. Is that normal? Would you say that I'm close to acquiring that taste?

Is that normal? Would you say that I'm close to acquiring that taste? I've never hated beer, but it all depends what you are drinking. Coronas are pretty light, but that might be a first time exception. If it is dark beer, those are definitely acquired tastes. If its light beer try accepting for a while the fact that it doesn't taste good, but it is better than the alternative. Or just whip up a rum and coke on the rocks with a quarter rum and you shouldn't be able to taste it!
sgoodcore
I highly recommend going to rum and coke, light on the rum, as a starter beverage.
