xlovecolouredx
2008 will be history in 81 days. and i guess most of us ordered many many items in this year. if you only choose one item, what is your most favourite record (which release in 2008) ? don't use a ruler of music listener, i started this thread for the record which you think design of jacket, colour of record, packing and layout so awesome. one record per a poster.... jhulud
I'll case my vote for the Melvins - (a) Senile Animal 4xLP set...the color in the box set or the blue... The 4xLP jacket, sleeves, designs, and vinyl color(s) are insane. Best package I've seen in a while. (Only pic I have that shows the whole shebang) A very close 2nd is the ISIS - Shades of the Swarm box set.
takingchase
If I would ever get my copy that I ordered I'm sure I would be saying Baroness - Red Album is one of the best packages this year. But I still don't have it so I can't really say that. Other than that my favorites probably the repress of New Mexican Disaster Squad. The screenprinted covers look so awesome. hickey
Based on layout and packaging only? Hmmm...that's tough.
dante3000
Packaging alone I would say Torche. I've never seen a design like that before. Just mind blowing.
AsleepOnRocks
Tough one... it's probably a three way tie: Torche - Meanderthal Baroness - Red Album Isis - Shades Of The Swarm

hickey
I don't listen to many bands that go all out with layout/design, etc...so I really can't think of any.
311thrice
Despite the flak I'll receive, Panic At The Disco's Pretty Odd had amazing packaging. Four Year Stong and Park both looked awesome as well.
steveooo
Good call on the Mike Park 7". I picked up Of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping today and the packaging is amazing, it comes with a giant die cut horse.

Guest falloutcollapse
Four Year Strong might be the best one I own from this year, but probably the Isis box set otherwise.
alertthemute
I haven't received it yet, but I know when I receive BTBAM - Colors that will be my fav record bought this year.

Ryan Adams "Cardinology" looks cool, got Leah Hayes artwork and comic book as the lyric book.
rtw88
I don't think I've bought any records that came out this year, but from what I've seen, I'm going to have to go with that Melvins box set.

takingchase
I completely forgot about that mike park 7" because I ordered it with Joey Cape LP so I don't have it yet. That looks amazing though, I can't wait to get it. I think I'm going to try and frame it if the crease doesn't look that bad.
suburbanargyle
Yeah, the Mike Park one is the best I've bought this year. I like the simple ones too, like the screened Lawrence Arms reissues and other bands that have done the screened cover. I really like the Monikers tour only LP cover with GG Allin on it.
