2010 most disappointing albums

I don't know if this thread has been created already, but here we go. I can't think of everything that I listened to this year but...

The Bled (not really expecting much though)

Alkaline Trio - This Addiction, though Dan's songs are solid as a rock.

Yea, I don't think you missed anything... If I recall right it's a completely different band now except for the lead singer and a guitarist.

Pass the Flask will always be an important album to me but everything else is very meh.

I think Matt has some good songs on This Addiction but it's got some terrible tracks as well.

Two BIG let downs in 2010:

AGAINST ME!-WHITE CROSSES: Done defending this band. This album is so over produced and meaningless. It doesn't know if it wants to be an "American Idiot" or "59' Sound"

MINUS THE BEAR-OMNI: The guitar work has been dumbed down big time and the keys turned up. The vocals/lyrics are dull and cliche as hell! Didn't see it coming from them

OWTH "In Desolation" - while there are really good songs on the record, as a whole it's overproduced and too many of the songs are way too bland and Epi-friendly radio jams.

I agree. I really dug "Trying to breathe" and "drive", but that's about it.

I about said this too, but once I get to movielike the album is really solid, the first part of it is so bad that I always have trouble even making it to that song.

I never listened to the new OWTH and I LOVE that band. For some reason, the songs I heard didn't resonate.

Weezer - Hurley and Against Me - White Crosses could go on there but can it be disappointing if you were expecting it to be bad?

It saddens me to say that I have to back that. Though not the part about American Idiot. It's got such a bad rep and I can't figure out why, it's got basically the same sound as their previous albums and all the songs are catchy.
