mcm1610
I thought I liked them for a couple weeks, then bought two albums and never listen to them.
gabpower
That acoustic album is outstanding and better than the studio albums. More people should listen to it. I played it at christmas and everybody was having fun.

hickey
Their studio stuff isn't great, but that live acoustic record is super tight.

geezfools
I dig 'em. Saw them play with rise against in a small venue in Seattle lots of years ago. Good guys and lots of whiskey references, I'm okay with that!
julabard
I love this band, I don't think people give them enough of a chance. I dig the McKenzies more than the Murphys.
swoopdog
They are a good band to see live. I don't really know any of their recorded music though.
chasinghamburglar
i agree there isn't a ton of substance, but they're so catchy! it's ridiculous.
adamlikesmusic
When was the last time a Fat album was available on color for 6+ months? Tilt's "Been Where? Did What?", despite only being /176, has been available for going on 10 years now.
hickey
I listened to the live record again today. I really like it.
adamlikesmusic
Yeah, this album took a little while for me. I played it first in the background, and was a bit impartial to it. Then a few weeks later I gave it a shot with isolating headphones, and loved it. Wish they'd tour down here.
machiel
Pulling up their kilts serveral times during the show makes me feel sick every time I hear their music.

monsterrod
I've always enjoyed their stuff but never been a huge fan. I'd say it's fun music to spin when you're having a couple drinks. I'd agree with what some people have said here, the live record is the most enjoyable. That being said, I've never seen these guys live and I'm sure that if I had seen them life their kilts it would "taint" the music for me as well.
