rawkuout
Records aren't labeled what side they are -- especially on 2x LPs. I just played my Oceanic LP for the first time and had no idea how to decipher the order in which to play them except trial and error. Same thing when I first got maudlin of the Well's Part The Second... I now have the order memorized, but yeah. Does this bother anyone else? monsterrod
look at the matrix, brah. But yes it can be annoying Agreed. Having to turn the album around so the light hits it just right in order to read the matrix is a pain in the ass.
rawkuout
Wow, I had no idea this "matrix" even exists. The light really does have to hit in the right spot though. Thanks for that tidbit, sarcasm and all.

Shitty Rambo
1)Buy Glassjaw adapters. 2)Buy several exacto knifes. You see where I'm going with this.
dethrock
Not really the same but I bought my gf Paramore - Riot. Both sides have the b-side label and other than listening to it, she had no idea how to tell which side was which.
icecream
just take a sharpie and put a tiny dot in the matrix.
000000
i really enjoy it when there's writing in the matrix codes. i have an OG copy of Zeppelin III that has cool writings in the matrixes.
thieves
this doesn't bug me so much as when it doesn't say what speed to play it at 12" isn't a big deal unless it's intended to be 45 and/or is an ep or single. all 7"s should say somewhere... at the very least in the deadwax
themullet89
I hate it more when it's not labeled what speed it's supposed to be played at. Especially when it turns out that a 7" is supposed to be played at 33rpm. I normally assume 45rpm if not stated otherwise.

Guest afsdan
I was able to write the etching on the last record I played on. Having Aardvark a mile from your house has its advantages.

plasma36
I've got a number of records that only have marks in the matrix for sides A and B, so whenever I get a record I find which side is which and then always put the A side up in the sleeve. thieves
if i ever did a 2lp i'd be tempted to do the A/D B/C thing like they did back in the day of automatic turntables
