oojavaguru
they aren't the only ones there is a shop in Columbus that went out of business last year & is strictly online sales now. yet they are doing rsd this year. not everyone can make it out or even has a store near them it's inevitable people are going to flip these so I would rather people have a shot buying them online. it's a shit situation and rsd in general has turned into a pile of shit. If that shop name is Time Traveler, they were just outed on the RSD facebook page for selling stuff on Ebay early. Looks like the RSD police is really out in full force this year. If I owned SRC, I'd probably rethink the strategy of selling RSD items online.
mattisr1984
theres a real simple solution to this whole thing. dont buy anything from SRC.
spoonbill
Does SRC's cart system hold stuff for you if its in your cart?
reptilianoverlord
Nice! I'll be refreshing SRC page. RSD politics ended my Record Store Day. A local to me small time audiophile record website (that does record fairs on a monthly basis) did RSD at a local church last year. Can't do RSD 2011 this year. NOT a actual record shop! Got threatened with a lawsuit and everything! Sucks.
jordan999
Wasn't there also a "promise" that all the stores had to agree that they would not sell RSD items online until the next day?

scottheisel
If SRC lets people pick up orders in person, wouldn't that technically make them a "physical record store"?

It's right next door to the place I buy comics at.
turbobrando
Plus, does anybody think that SRC's servers are gonna be able to handle the bandwith? We shall see......
psychoriley
Does SRC's cart system hold stuff for you if its in your cart? Very good question.....if not and you get something good in your cart, the moments it will take to ad another item....may cost you the first one!.....let the fun begin.... seafoamgreen
The Piebald LPs are up, but not as a bundle. And not in the RSD section on the page.
spoonbill
Pretty sure those are cds.

Derek™
Record Store Day took down SRC from their site, there is justice. ... So SRC is or isn't having 30 RSD exclusives, now?

catalinacaper
Record Store Day took down SRC from their site, there is justice. ... So SRC is or isn't having 30 RSD exclusives, now? No doubt they already HAVE the physical copies, so if we don't see these go up Saturday then they will just go up Sunday when everyone else is allowed to put them online
One Hundred Fifty-Two
They already have the copies so they can sell them whenever, but they are no longer recognized by RSD and aren't allowed to participate next year.
circlingvultures
So just out of curiosity. Are we going after every web store that is selling RSD stuff?

Japes
I'm glad these are going up online somewhere, because I have no record stores near me. So, this is awesome.
AlexH.
You guys that don't live near record stores could just wait a few months and they'll be down to around their original retail price on eBay. It's just the initial 2 weeks or so where all the RSD releases are worth money for some reason, there isn't much from past years that goes for big money. controlthebleeding
so what's with DEATHWISH being able to do it? ren't they technically a distro too? or the fact that they are a open house that one day technically give them a pass? not wanting to butt heads here. just kinda wonderin' as i know there could be tons of excuses (like totally being up front of their intentions and the fact that none of the stuff will actually be online that day but for physical purchase). just seems that allowing a distro to do it once, can lead to any distro doing it in the future out of their house.
