shenanigans
so since John Jughead started putting his personal collection on ebay I've been following it because I like reading his stories. The story with this one is pretty crazy. Can't imagine what this will end up going for. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220804086729&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2376wt_932

mclz
I'm assuming this is about the Ozzfish split? I think it'll blow up within the last 5 minutes of the sale.
hickey
I saw this auction when it went up. It's pretty exciting!

therealmuntz
I've been watching all these items on ebay too and I still can't believe he'd be parting with any of his collection. It just blows my mind that any musician wouldn't want to keep copies of their releases and memorabilia nevermind the fact that it was Screeching Weasel! I just don't get it. Go back to working at the movie theatre if you need the money that badly. That's what I'd do at least.

There comes a point in some peoples lives when "things" don't mean anything to you anymore and the "things" that do mean something, aren't material items. Maybe it has something to do with it and maybe it has something to do with recovering from a flood, who knows...

harryq
what's a fairly well known vinyl auction blog? I don't know, but it's on this one http://www.vinylnoize.com/
monsterrod
yeah, I also assumed he was speaking of Vinyl Noize. My buddy's Most Precious Blood Test went from $32 to over $200 within an hour of it being posted on that site. It can really jack the price up. http://www.vinylnoize.com/2011/07/02/screeching-weasel-test-press-never-released/
shenanigans
holy shit. I went to bed last night and it was at $450 and now it's at $960. Can't wait to see what happens in the last hour. I thought it's out of Hickey's price range now...

timpopkid
I cannot believe anyone is surprised by how much this is going to sell for. There's 2 of them on the earth. Of course this was going to break 1000 dollars.

burntwolf
there is no record ever made or any other musical item i would pay that much for. not to mention a test pressing of some awful songs, even by one of my fave band....
