moonbeams
Another stupid Moonbeans thread or is it? Do we spend too much on vinyl? What's more important retiring with wealth or retiring with a good selection of music?
Zick
Your first assumption was right
jase
We have superannuation here in Australia, as long ad you work you will retire with wealth. As for the actual question. I spend way more on alcohol than I ever have on records.

kriss
Eh. It's fun to speculate. I'd like to think of it in terms of how much better off I am getting records here than getting them for considerably more elsewhere.

mcpherson123
If I never started collecting records, I'd have easily a few thousand dollars still to my name. Possibly more.

A_Boring_Story
If I never started collecting records, I'd have easily a few thousand dollars still to my name. Possibly more. But imagine how much you'd get back if you let go of everything you have. More than what you paid?

But imagine how much you'd get back if you let go of everything you have. More than what you paid? I think I'd probably break even if I were to sell everything. I have a ton of shit that most people probably could care less about, but also a bunch of shit that I paid $10 for that "goes for" $100. It evens out. kriss
^ that's pretty much the case with my collection too.
mcpherson123
That's probably the case with most collections. Or not. If you paid $10 for something, you can probably find someone to pay at least $20 for it. That person is out there.
GradedOnACurve
Never worried about how much I spend on music. It's always worth it.
