surprised no one has thrown in American Hardcore yet.

Also, 1991: The Year Punk Broke as well as The Decline of Western Civilization (but not the second one from the 80's unless you want laughs). Another State of Mind is great as well but it comes off really scripted and planned at certain points - worth it for the Minor Threat and early Social D footage though. Kill Yr Idols is great as well if you like the early 80's No Wave stuff (as well as the no wave/post punk revival stuff of the early 2000's).

"danielson: a family movie"

I felt like this dragged a bit towards the middle and end. I should re-watch it at some point.

As did I. Not like Pulp Fiction when it his Bruce Willis slow, but it did get a little slow.

Also I am surprised no one has said Against Me- We're Never Going Home.

BBC's Seven Ages of Rock is pretty rad. 7 part series that covers everything from Buddy Holly to The Libertines. Totally hopped over talking about Radiohead in the Brit Pop, English Alternative episode.

other favs:

DIG! (fucking brilliant)

Pavement- Slow Century

Lamb of God- Killadelphia (solid doc)

Jimi Hendrix- Band of Gypsys (if you haven't heard this album.. Youtube Power of Soul right nao.)

Metal: A Headbangers Journey

Just about everything else mentioned in this thread is worth checking out. (Wilco, Daniel Johnston, Foo Fighters)

Been meaning to watch:

Color Me Obsessed- Story of The Replacements

This Film Is Broken (love story based around a Broken Social Scene concert)

Strange Powers- Stephen Merritt and the Magnetic Fields

anyone find any torrent trackers for these?

aaand being a huge Low fan:

Low- In Europe (great live footage, goes into the whole family on the road thing)

Low- You May Need A Murderer (really candid interviews on Al's general craziness..Great shots of Duluth, MN.)
