zacaroo21
I am so, so sorry. The vinyl mix sounds like a pile of hot, wet, garbage.
Derek™
The album itself isn't much to write home about either.
Guest
Coheed announced their first single, Domino: The Destitute. Someone filmed it at their show the other night. It's 8+ minutes... The new song sounds good; thanks for posting.
makeshiftrigger
im telling you, listen to it a bunch and it'll grow on you as bearable, im more fond of the slower songs like far and pearl of the stars though. new song is the shit though
serum7
im telling you, listen to it a bunch and it'll grow on you as bearable, im more fond of the slower songs like far and pearl of the stars though. new song is the shit though The songs on YOTBR weren't bad, it was the production IMO. Take away all of the Atticus Ross noise and it would've been a fairly solid Coheed album. I thought the demos on the deluxe edition sounded great compared to the album stuff. Then again I've enjoyed all of them through NWFT, so whatever.
makeshiftrigger
i love all the albums so i'm with you on that. this new stuff sounds like they're going back a few years in sound which could be awesome. missed the extra long coheed songs
zacaroo21
I think the only Coheed song I really dislike is When Skeletons Live. Every other song is worth listening to in some respect.

almightyseancore
i really don't know what to think of the new song. i turned it off after two minutes because the live recording gave me a headache. they were a pretty boring/painful two minutes tho. i'm still interested in hearing this album. and this thread is making me slap on my no world for tomorrow LP, so, that's happening... makeshiftrigger
that song is excellent, going back towards IKS and GA:V1 days
kforkevin777
Yeah, the new song reminds me a lot of From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. Especially it being 8 minutes long.
afireinside7444
The intro guitar sounds exactly like another of their songs (sorry I just hit play on my mp3 player I don't look at titles) but in double time. Same notes same structure. I believe its off iksse about 50 sec in
makeshiftrigger
hmmm, just listened to the entire thing at work earlier, not hearing it but you could be right, but IKS definitely has the longer songs, GA:V1 FFTTEOM the longest one is like 7ish, IKS has the ever so beautiful light and glass and 2113 both over 9. ahhhh i cant wait for IKS:Neverender to hear light and glass, its my favorite, its so pretty, next prettiest would be wake up

Shitty Rambo
How long until SRC starts selling bookmarks for all these fucking books? (I tried to insert an image reference to anchorman where he says "I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany." but this mobile version of VC is dildos) californiaflow
zacaroo21
Here is the radio edit of Domino. About half the length, but you get an idea for the production of this record. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c-BiQOCiIE makeshiftrigger

THAT'S the Coheed I used to know, really want to hear the 8 minute long one. Felt like it had a NWFT vibe to me. Guest
Set looks pretty solid. One of the pieces looks like a record, but i'm sure it isn't. Just 'cause it looks like a pancake don't make it a pancake, if ya know what i mean.
