Princess Logan
one of the newer girls here messed up a print job, and it got printed anyway. 10,000 annual reports our client can’t use. people are livid, people are crying. that’s the part of my job i find so scary!! I was wondering what your instagram post was about. Holy bananas, that's crazy.
futures
TWO HOURS, EIGHTEEN MINUTES THANX yea, im just worried of them being fake or whatever. I'd be so pissed if i didnt get in This is true. =\ Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to be sure. BUT they do look legit in the image on the listing and whenever I've gone to a show and my ticket didn't scan, they just ripped the end off and let me in anyway. & Those were from tickets that I bought myself straight from Ticketmaster. futures
I was wondering what your instagram post was about. Holy bananas, that's crazy. Me too. That sounds really terrifying... especially with the crying.
Guest
I'm just keeping my head down, I had nothing to do with it thankfully. I haven't messed up on that level yet, thankfully. I proofread my stuff like 5 times before I sent something to print. I still get stomach aches from it though!
sinisterkidd
If by any chance they end up being fake, you always open a case with E-bay? yes, but I will probably die if I miss iggy. Anyways im buying them
futures
I know what you mean. I have to prepare documents for traffic studies that end up in the state's archives forever. Each time I send something with an error they take money out of my company's budget =\
Snaggle Von Swift
Mistakes happen (assuming it was just an honest mistake), nobody is perfect. Shrug it off and learn from it, don't let it happen again. No sense in crying over it!
maneatingcow
What was the error? Was it something that should have been caught in quality check down the line?
Guest
designer, printer, and proofreader are all being blamed right now I think. in HUGE letters on the front it says 2014 annual report when it was supposed to say 2013. We're working such long hours and are under so much pressure right now, I can't blame them for missing it really. the client approved it too, but i just heard we're re-printing for free. Snaggle Von Swift
the client approved it too, but i just heard we're re-printing for free. Verbally or did they actually sign off on it? And just the date? That's fixable! Just use white-out!
lonesomexloveus
yyeeahhhhh, i have to prepare legal documents for the state. the best part is when people send stuff in that isn't even legible (like 50 year old deed descriptions for properties) then get pissed when one word or number is wrong. maneatingcow
Ouch, if the client signed off on it technically it's on them. However you probably don't want to lose a customer like that. Shit happens. Re-evaluate the Quality Check process and learn from the mistake. Just this week a guy who runs the same machine as me screwed up 7000 Annual Truck Inspection packets. This stuff was salvageable it just had to get opened up and have an additional form inserted but it s still like 12 hours of "rework" time. abovetheearth
from missing a period, to the wrong footnote. we have many steps and procedures, but man.. we have to deal with legal crap from the FDA, and that gets even messier.
futures
I can only imagine that it's tough to locate the possible errors after looking at it all for such a long time.
Sugar Shane
Well, guess I won't get my day off tomorrow. But on a happier note my friend told me her company is hiring people for marketing jobs. I can't wait til I can have a normal work schedule and have off on weekends.
