tokimedo
Lets ask each other the real question. Was that Jamie Foxx's real taint and veggies or did he go with a body double? that was his double.

Guest
i've seen people saying they struggled with the mandingo fight, but the dog scene was the one that made me turn away

kyacrash
did anyone else stay till after the credits? Yea I did. Thought it was "meh". Just one last n-word thrown in
almightyseancore
It was pretty vulgar! not really. it's 'period appropriate'. also, i thought about staying til after the credits, but didn't expect there to actually be anything so i left. jhook
What happened after the credits? The wife and I left before they ended.

albie007
yeah the n word used to be used to describe any undesirable person (not just african americans) back in the day. Its taken on a whole new life. (I have no dawg in this fight...just saying). John lennon has a song bout woman being the n... of the world. Great movie though
tokimedo
What happened after the credits? The wife and I left before they ended. just a quick scene with the slaves in the cage that threw django the dynamite.

That is fucking ridiculous. A movie about a slave without the n word? Dillusional people. I agree with what Ry posted above about Django vs. Tyler Perry. I don't know how that guy is able to do what he does. I'm sure people would get shit one way or another if they made an all white exploitation movie, or all mexican, etc.
almightyseancore
there were a LOT of black people in the theater (granted, this is saint louis) and they were the only ones that left or complained at all. i heard a few people talking about how there was 'too much violence', so i can safely assume most of them weren't there for the director, but because it was jamie foxx in a slave movie. bluedeni
I had the opposite crowd. All the black people loved it and laughed the loudest.
almightyseancore
not to discourage anyone from seeing this in the theater, but there is a dvd streamer version of this movie floating around in the nether regions of the internet. it only says 'for your consideration' a few times thruout. dont ask me for it, i'm just informing you. Derek™
This is bugging the hell out of me. My memory seems to recall a scene from the trailer that I [am fairly certain I] didn't see in the film. http://youtu.be/eUdM9vrCbow?t=1m13s'>Here (01:13) With Django all up in his wife's business, sans shirt. Did I miss something?
ronniegwilliams
I'm so bummed I haven't seen this yet. Everytime my girl and I make plans to see this something always comes up and we have to keep postponing it. Definitely found the screener and will be watching that shit this weekend to celebrate my newly acquired surround sound.
