aviolentworld
After watching the new trailer I feel much better about the remake my thoughts too. also how the hell do i post the actual video instead of the link?
thebiglebowski
It's stupid but usually if you hit "edit post" then don't do anything to it, a video pops up. For me at least.
thebiglebowski
It looks okay. But Army of Darkness is so much better than Evil Dead 1 or 2. Is the plan to do the whole trilogy over?
selfreliable
About halfway through I was thinking "ehh, Ill see it but probably will suck." After the whole thing I was thinking "damn they really did a good job"
andrewlucas
It looks okay. But Army of Darkness is so much better than Evil Dead 1 or 2. Is the plan to do the whole trilogy over? Nope. My aunt is working on this film. She said its horrible. However, she doesn't like gory movies and she liked the original. She said it is its own movie and has nothing to do with the others aside from the book of the dead.

Dillhole
I'll see it but I'll go in not expecting much. The first 2 are awesome, along with Army Of Darkness. At least Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are producing it, that's the only real redeeming quality it has.

I think that's what I like about the trailer. It seems like less one liners and has a more serious tone. Plus that whole slicing the tongue lesbo scene...damn
lexicondevil
WHYWHYWHY? No Bruce, no Evil Dead. Why couldn't they just have done another original movie like Drag Me To Hell? This looks like it's filled with actors who have no personality. What made the trilogy cool was Bruce Campbell, period.

One-liners and ridiculous amounts of gore are what made the original movies Evil Dead. Bruce IS Evil Dead. I really hope this is one of those movies that looks completely serious, and when you go to see it, it's hilarious and campy. This movies doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look like an Evil Dead movie.
krisakarcher
i heard they did not use any cg in the movie. pretty cool. converge88
jerseydave77
I'm going to see it but I think this is an abomination. If it isn't Bruce Campbell as Ash then it can't possibly meet my high standards.
Rip
Haven't been this excited for a film in a while, let alone a remake. The original is one of my favorites and it looks like they aren't going to disappoint with this at all.
steventangent
I, for one, am glad that they didn't try to make a new character similar to Ash at all. This looks like what it is, an updated version of the first movie. I'll be honest. It looks gross. And I'm definitely going to see it. This movies doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look like an Evil Dead movie. I haven't seen the first movie in a while but it is all horror, right? One-liners come in the second one and Army of Darkness has the best one-liners ever. I went to a Bruce Campbell book signing for "Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way" and then a private screening of "Man With the Screaming Brain". That movie is horrible. It belongs on Sci-Fi on a Saturday afternoon. Bruce seemed cool but I didn't really know what to say. "I like your work" "Thanks. Who do I make this out to" "Ed" "Thanks man" "Take care" That was about it.
aviolentworld
Yes I actually watched the movie yesterday and the Campbell we have grown to love doesn't evolve till #2. So yeah more gore less one liners.
kforkevin777
Yeah, the first one did try to be more serious, but it was still really campy.
