i forgot, is anyone else is playing AC black flag?...if so, the community challenges are cool. just sharing certain events that you see in the game to your friends list. and those friends can now try and do them.

I've got it, but I haven't played in a few weeks. I won a season pass for it from Ubisoft, so I think I'll pick it back up when I get the code.

do you know to use "kenways fleet" ? i cant do any mission because i dont have enough resources...i think thats the case, i have plenty of boats. its confusing. but i did assist your boats last night, wasnt too sure on how that works. i just put my man o wars on them and "escorted" them.

so did you get the season pass?

If you pick a route that's dangerous (red or yellow), you can choose to have your ships battle. It's a really quick way to build up resources to complete routes. Whenever you have friends with ships on missions, you can see them in the list of ships. You can help by speeding up the route, fixing their ships if they've been damaged, or escorting them. From what I can tell, helping a friend out doesn't cost you any resources and there's no limit, so you can help with every ship they have out. It benefits both of you because they finish routes faster and it gives you rewards for helping them (usually fire barrels to use during ship battles in the fleet, which are really handy). It's a win-win for both players.

I got the Season Pass code a few days ago. I haven't really dug into it very much though. There's a whole side story featuring Adawale that I haven't started yet. It stands alone from the game so I don't know if I want to do it after I finish the game, or just start it now.

ohh ok cool, i just did a lot of what you just said and its pretty simple now. i just need some fire barrels now haha.

i beat the game today, still finishing up all the loose ends, still fun to annihilate ships.

also...the entire time i was playing i figured i would come across the ELITE plans for the final upgrades for the jackdaw. i also ignored all the shipwrecks and said to myself ill get them when i finish the game. i wasnt too fond of the first tutorial one and was quickly annoyed. but...theres at least 4 plans in these shipwrecks that you'll need to get eventually. and the rest are through treasure maps. which im still stumped on, because i think theres about 2 places i havent visited yet and i still have 10 buried treasures i need to find. and only have 3 treasure maps....

Good to hear. I started on the Freedom Cry DLC last night. I probably should have waited to start it until after I finished the game, but I got really curious. I think it's pretty cool. I put about 3 hours into it, and I'm about 30-40% through it.  If you enjoyed the main game, I'd say it's for sure worth the $9.99 if you're looking for more gameplay. If I had to pay though, I wouldn't get the whole season pass. All it does is unlock a few more weapons, outfits, and figureheads and sails for the ships. I'm only about 40% of the way through the game and all the weapons I picked up from the season pass aren't even as powerful as the ones I already had equipped.

yeah from what i was reading about it, you pretty much dont have to upgrade edward at all. i bought one set of swords and upgraded my pistol because i unlocked it doing i think a community challenge?  just save any money for ship

thats cool, ill definitely get it. theres also achievements attached to it. the trailer for it looked pretty intense. theres so much to this game, its ridiculous.

speaking of the jackdaw...i tried to go against a legendary ship down in the southwest corner...this isnt gonna be fun at all. with armor and weapons 100% upgraded, barely did damage.

*edit...just read that there 4 treasure maps that are obtained by completing certain missions through "kenways fleet" haha, this game is definitely easier with more friends to share events and help their fleets.

Have you talked to all the bartenders? At each tavern you can talk to him and he'll tell you where to find a map. Maybe those are the ones you're missing.

i tried the bartenders, i got nothing except a few royal convoys. i think the rest are from doing kenways fleet.

but have you guys read this?

Totally fake - cheaper console is coming for sure - doubt they're coming that quickly but yeah.

But disc-free is super unlikely - they'll probably scrap the kinect before they scrap a disc tray.

There is way too much of the world that isn't on high-speed internet yet to make a product like that.

yeah i was wondering that. but is disc free still out of the question? i mean, you can download every xb1 title right now, and whatever comes out. and that would take out the blu-ray player as well. granted i like my disc player, nice not to have another electronic device. i dunno im not super knowledgeable on these, except for that i like having an xb1.

it would be cool to see it kinect free, i dont use it. only when it prompts me too because i wanna upload a clip, stupid.

It boils down to the fact that there is still a pretty decent section of the world that doesn't have access to the high-speed internet needed to download games and what have you.

While well off folks have full access to those kinds of things - the people waiting on a cheaper console - probably aren't so well off...

This rumor is saying they're separate models though. Obv the people who need a disc tray won't buy that one.

The Xboner originally was all digital when they were first designing it so I'm inclined to believe this rumor.

Either way Microsoft doesn't care about sales in the parts of the world you're referencing haha. "We have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360"

i re-read what you first said and totally skipped that part. that does make sense.

now im curious to know the ratio of high speed internet to non high speed xb1 users

Still kind of doubt it - I know that a lot of developers are weary of digital sales and that's why there are so many retailer specific incentive bonuses even with day-one-digital titles. They really want you to buy those discs.
