oojavaguru Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 On a related note, just saw this at Amoeba http://www.amoeba.com/pearl-jam-twenty-3xlp-pearl-jam/albums/3005467/ Hot damn Here's what I think Amoeba's used pricing policy is: step 1-- Search Ebay for completed listings step 2-- Search Popsike for completed listings step 3-- Find the highest price possible of the item being sold step 4-- Add a few more dollars for things like PVC Sleeves, Research Fee, Convenience Fee, Putting up on the wall fee, Typing it up on the website fee step 5--Make available for sale It's the best of all worlds....they get Ebay prices without the Ebay/Paypal fees and get sales tax. hah. It is so hit or miss with Amoeba, I have found great deals and also insane prices. I recently bought The Dark Knight OST for $63.75 and it was factory sealed (these usually go for around $175+). Other times, like the PJ20 color they are way off with their pricing. They also have a copy of Nirvana Nevermind MFSL used for $350, these sell for just over $100 on the open market. So most everyone's delivery date was just the delivery date to the hub. So packages should have the UPS sticker, but the UsPS delivers it. It's weird. Why not just charge us for direct UPS shipping.
