yocaseycasey
After having a baby, things change.I was pumped when I found out about Rockabye Baby: a company that does lullaby renditions of popular bands. They've done everything from Kanye West to Elton John to the White Stripes.Unfortunately, the only band I was really pumped about was the Weezer lullaby album. Sparrow and I have listened to it countless times. Then I thought, wait a second, why on earth aren't there lullaby albums featuring songs by bands like Saves the Day, Thrice, Copeland, City and Colour, and other "smaller" (relative to Lady Gaga) bands? So I started making them. And I figured that a couple of parents on here might dig it. http://sparrowsleeps.bandcamp.com I'll be posting another couple of Saves the Day tunes before I move onto another band.Just figured I would share, because that's what people do on these boards. nyhi, cbbrew22, xadamhudsonx and 2 others

yocaseycasey
Almost fell asleep at work giving this a listen... well done Isn't it strange that there are instances where you can say "It put me to sleep," and that's a compliment? xadamhudsonx
Casey, this is really fucking cool. Being a rad Dad right out of the gate. I love it. (the pic of you and Sparrow in the recent pic thread is great by the way. Good looking little lady). Also, in addition to the Weezer lullaby album, The Smiths lullaby album isn't half bad at all. yocaseycasey
Thanks Adam.I posted a couple of more since starting this thread (mainly oldies):- Rocks Tonic Juice Magic- Hold - Bye Bye Baby- As Your Ghost Takes Flighthttp://sparrowsleeps.bandcamp.com/ I'll be posting another 3 this weekend to make Can't Lay Down an even 10 tracks:- Shoulder To the Wheel - I'm Sorry I'm Leaving - Living Without Love Then I will post another album full of lullabies in another week or two. It's been fun creating them, and Sparrow falls asleep to them about 4 times a day/night. My wife can testify that these puppies work. yocaseycasey
Thanks Ian! It's fun sharing these with Sparrow, but it's just as fun seeing you guys share them with others.I have a program on my computer that I use.I worked on a couple of Brand New ones last night. They're more hypnotic than the brightness of Saves the Day. Especially since I was working with tracks from Daisy and TDAG.
