GradedOnACurve
So it looks like that Epitaph is pressing their "Atlantic Years" albums over in Europe (which is a good thing IMO) and importing them here to keep them in print. If you feel the need for these they're available via Kings Road US. Keep in mind if you have the boxset like I do, these albums for that set were also pressed in Europe. For those who don't know the albums are: Stranger Than Fiction The Gray Race No Substance New America Bundle(s): Word is Blue is out of 500 http://www.kingsroadmerch.com/bad-religion/view/bundle.asp?id=703 These are the other colors. Limited to 1,000. http://kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records/view/bundle.asp?id=704&artist=4 They're available individually too: http://kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records/artist/?id=4 For you EU/UK people: http://eu.kingsroadmerch.com/bad-religion/

Guest
i'm wary of major label albums like this; are any of these worth checking out? i love Suffer and i like their new album but i haven't listened to much else from them.

I love Stranger Than Fiction, and Gray Race is good too IMO. Mr. Brett left before Gray Race so it was mostly the work of Greg Graffin and Brian Baker. It has its moments. Can't really recommend the other two but there are some fans.... 3fingersdown

burntwolf
did they forget Stranger than Fiction was on red originally and had a red & clear Rhino represses? " THIS ALBUM HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON COLORED VINYL! THIS PRESSING ON COLORED VINYL IS SO LIMITED, WE HAD TO GO TO EUROPE TO GET IT! apeman
Funny. My 'Stranger than Fiction' is on white vinyl. Dragnet 1994, German press I think. The only version you could get in Europe when the album was released, as far as I can remember.

mclz
All you need from the Atlantic years is Stranger than Fiction. The fact that Process of Belief is amazing also shows that Brett is the main driving force of the band.

Don't judge a record by the label. Stranger Than Fiction is one of their best albums. The Grey Race and No Substance are kinda bland to me, but each have 1 to 2 good songs. New America isn't too well received because its poppy, but I love it and put it up there with my favorite Bad Religion albums (ATG, Generator, No Control). unravelled
This thread was a nice reminder to PO BRs Xmas album and 7'. Thanks!! Back on topic the Atlantic years are rough which makes it all the more impressive their strong run of albums from Process of Belief through True North has been. kyacrash
Stranger than fiction is probably my favorite BR album. I already have it on black, clear, red, and the box set version though. Probably don't need two more copies of it, especially at $18 a pop
moonbeams
If you have a Rhino Stranger Than Fiction, please get an Epitaph or Dragnet version (or Atlantic if you can find one). The Rhino (red or grey) sounds so awful.

mikeburns
my copy of the grey race on blue vinyl arrived today (all the way in little old New Zealand). It is great. Cover is nicely finished as with insert. Vinyl is solid blue and flat. Music is impressive! Very quiet vinyl and flat. Couldn't ask for anything more really, very happy. And it arrived pretty quick considering I chose the cheapest form of shipping and during the holiday period! Recommend it if you like this album. GradedOnACurve
I don't think any of the Stranger Than Fiction presses have inserts.
