captainaldous
/1000 limited pressing of Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill with 9 bonus tracks. The Saint
Grabbing this and Beyonce with the new Drake and probably Yeezus. I don't want to put in such a big order, but I might as well save on shipping.
billya
3 Euro extra for a digital download? What.

The Saint
Did Beastie Boys need to really be a double LP though? I could do without the bonus tracks and handle a single LP.
captainaldous
A single LP would have been nice.
DJ Quik
This isn't that hard to find, why would they do a bootleg of this? caninesapien and Cloudsbelow
captainaldous
Yeah, decently used copies go for just a little above the price of this, shipped. I assume it's just to have new copies floating around. I don't know.
burntwolf
yea my original press sounds pretty darn good too. well i don't know what pressing it is. i'm sure there were a ton when this came out.

The Saint
I can't imagine this selling out or Beyoncé especially with much more limited variants of Kanye and Drake still available on their site. 1000 copies was a lot to press. But then again, Childish Gambino's bootleg sold out super fast.

These are tougher to sell because they're imports And when word started to spread how much people were flipping the gambino record for everyone tried getting a hand on it. I was lucky enough to get one couple days ago, I may flip it myself so I can finish paying off my mortgage
axisrecapital
Well, this is the first time that the "bonus tracks" have been available on vinyl as far as I know. If there is another version floating around with the "bonus tracks" then let me know....otherwise....Ordered and thanks for the post. Korgull Of Morgoth
A pre-order for a BOOTLEG? What the hell just happened here? gabpower and caninesapien
caninesapien
Yeah... am I missing something? If it's a bootleg is it even allowed to be pre-ordered/sold through an online shop? I love vinyl and all but can't see the appeal with this. I picked up my early press of Licensed to Ill for about £9 and it sounds great. entendu
captainaldous
I'm not quite sure how it works, but they've been doing this for a while.

I picked up my early press of Licensed to Ill for about £9 and it sounds great. the appeal of the vinyl-digital bootleg guys is that they usually put albums that didn't get a vinyl pressing on vinyl, like the new Drake and Kanye albums
caninesapien
Ah right, didn't realise. The pressings are taken from digital copies then? Still, the BB Licensed to Ill album isn't that hard to get anyways

mr. sincere
No way this sounds better than the original. Those old Def Jam pressings are fantastic. And like others have said, they aren't that hard to come by for decent prices.
parahparap
Rather than this, I think its better they repress the Childish Gambink bootleg again.
DJ Quik
Rather than this, I think its better they repress the Childish Gambink bootleg again. They didn't do th gambino bootleg, because that "bootleg" was an official release, it was just a marketing gimmick to generate hype and it worked. An official release with proper packaging is coming out this year
