OFFICIAL RSD13/Record Store Day Releases Thread (1st Post Updated)

Recommended Posts

Also, one release that hasn't been talked about yet is a split 7-inch between Cloud Nothings and Relaxer. It is limited to 500 copies and will be given away free to customers shopping at My Mind's Eye Records in Cleveland and Square Records in Akron. Not sure what the tracks are, but I believe both are brand new and exclusive to this release.

Well there goes another thing that I want but won't be able to get. Fucking dumb.

Went to s store that the RSD website said was participating to talk to the owner and needless to say ill be getting hosed too. Dude pretty much compared RSD to the valentines day of record & vinyl community and said his store would not be participating at all. So I left my name and the releases I want just in case. Still gonna try though.

The BTBAM box set is going to be around $75? I am going to def pass on that.

I wonder how much the DMB Live Trax set will be, I'd really like that but 4x180G colored? Probably $40.

$22 for the Gaslight CD/DVD? What in the holy fuck? $28 for FR? Unreal.

I can't believe that the M&S 12" will be $10, there's no way it's that cheap.

What really irked me about the RSD pre-order list is the sheer number of releases with TBD prices. I'm only looking to get 5-6 things, and most of them don't have a price attached, so come that Thursday or Friday when the local shop gives me a call (that's what comes of being pals with the guy for 20 years) to say what's in, I'm bound to get nailed with sticker shock—and because I had to put in requests with him weeks ago, I'm obliged to buy whatever he manages to get of my list now, even if it means I'm broke forever after. To be fair, most of what I want are 45s, but still....

I call shops all around the state, many of which I've never set foot in and they've all obliged me by telling me what they have on hand when I call the day before RSD. No 20 year patronage required.
