Uh whoops never mind. Death Waltz just posted on IG that it’s going up next week. Hell yeah.

Surprised no one posted this: https://mondotees.com/products/ghostbusters-original-motion-picture-score-2xlp
Also, appears they are doing some sort of drop every day this month. Praying most of it is stuff I can easily pass on.

Has anyone heard any of the music? Curious, but on the fence over how much I'd play it.
-
Sort of unclear from the post. They say two variants to choose from and then in the comments say subscribers are getting the splatter. So maybe the splatter is not exclusive to subscribers but they are guaranteed one? Strange if that's the case.
I'm not a subscriber, but judging from the comments on all of the posts today, sounds like you are not alone in wondering what's going on with the subscriptions.

saw a bunch of copies of Ghost World at the Turntable Lab store yesterday late afternoon
Thanks a lot, just swung by and they still had a few. Appreciate it!

Really? Where have those been so far? I didn't think this was a "RSD First" release but maybe I missed that bit.
Have seen it here: https://omegamusicdayton.tuneportals.com/AdvancedSearch?search_term=ghost+world&submit=Search
And also on a UK site that I am blanking on.

Looking for Ghost World, if anybody has any leads.
Also, I've seen a few preorders popping up for black and green versions. Anyone know for sure if this is being planned for a wider release? Would help an eventual decision to pay high prices on eBay/Discogs...

Prince of Darkness - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP
Not a huge fan of the art on this repress, but great Carpenter/Howarth collaboration if anyone still needs it.

Yeah, I mean if it's not Phoebe's album it's the one her abuser didn't release because of that frivolous lil FBI investigation.
Oh, come on. I said initially, as in before last week. It was a joke. Not at all advocating for that dude now or ever again, as my posts in that thread clearly say.
But I see that was totally unclear, my bad. Poor joke.
-
Yeah, ok. I mean, I was initially looking forward to Big Colors a lot too, but that didn't pan out.

I feel like you're being insincere.
I can totally see why you might, but I promise if I have made one post on here worthy of the sincere handle, it's that one.

This showed up today from Secretly. Spinning it now, sounds great.
I know it's not even March, but gonna be hard for anything to top this as my AOTY.

Feel the fury of the SJW. You guys have too much time to waste on the internet getting fired up about something that may or may not have happened. I'm just here for the music. F*ck the Rain was great, pumped for the new records
Super cool to attack people sticking up for victims and calling out undeniably (except for you and the other guy) shitty behavior. By the way, which part of the victims' testimony do you not believe?
And nobody gives a shit that you like Ryan Adams' music. That's literally why everyone else was posting in this thread in the first place.

I'm just saying I care about the art and not so much about the private life of the artist behind it.
That is very clearly not what you are “just saying.” You said way more. And you brought in a number of other confirmed and accused sexual predators to back it up. It sounds terrible and uninformed about how sexual assault works for the assaulted.

worst live band on earth? discuss.
Can't say I've ever thought they were less than great, but it's been a little bit since I've been able to catch them. Will be seeing them again in February and expecting good things.

Hell yes, finally. Instant buy, love these guys.

I'm trying not to wear this out before I can spin the actual LP, but it's tough. This album is insanely good.

Was hoping the lineup changes and a break from touring would have recharged his writing a bit but a covers EP doesn't really inspire much confidence.
I still consider the first two EPs among the best music of the last ten years. But pretty sure those were a fluke, unfortunately. I liked LP1 but by the second, I felt like he was just writing Mad Libs. I don't know how many more times I can hear the same four chords and the words drunk, young, wild, and loud interchanged for ten songs straight. Still kills it live though.

Might be in the slight minority, but I like it and prefer it to some of the earlier remastered/remixed versions. It's raw and imperfect, and unless you're going for a HQ analog experience, it's as spooky and unsettling as watching an old VHS copy of the film. It's not a defect, it was intentional. The dips in sound throughout are a somewhat unfortunate effect, but livable nonetheless. I'm glad someone finally released it like this, it fits the movie and the idea of the film perfectly, in my opinion.

That’s a cool write-up. I’m still curious about the other post they made and how the other colors for the other two masks play into the release though. I wonder if they’ll have three different versions of this package or if the others will be retail.
-
Yeah that is indeed an awesome cover, glad I picked it up. I don’t love the standard cover, but I would be a lot more inclined to grab the Rough Trade variant as well if I wasn’t already holding out for Death Waltz’s III, II, and I.
This Halloween season on the record player is killing me.

Not weighing in at all on the overall argument here, but this isn't right. At all. The definition of empathy is sharing feelings with another. It has zero to do with hierarchy or the condescension you're describing. I don't know, maybe you're thinking of sympathy?
