  2. It's probably worth mentioning to the group just out of general curiousity Tragic Hero Music Group, Inc includes: Superior Sound Cleveland Merchbucket (I found out because I had to spam email a bunch of employees since no one there answers emails about pre-orders that are months late with no updates) Tragic Hero Records Sunpedal Recordings Take This To Heart Records Fishhead Records 180db Artists Capitol Comics NC Deko Entertainment Drive-Thru Records and I assume Parting Gift is under TTTHR or something else in this giant mix.

  4. Let Go was ok. I really like Lifeline. The drums are the highlight for me on that track.

Year of the Knife isn't doing too well. Hopefully they're all going to be okay but there's no official update yet.

  7. Honestly I hated it. It sounds like 1 person wrote most of the songs, "Runaway, Come Home" is up there for the worst songs I've heard all year, and some songs and a lot of elements are trying really sound like generic top alternative. I really didn't expect it to be this bad. The singles are alright but those short tracks and others released today are some stinkers.
  8. I think we still have this problem with Enema lol it took me years to wait out for a SRC pressing and by the grace of god it was delivered.
  9. Bingo. EVR does sales all the time and if this is still in stock it'll be cheaper then. I started keeping a list of records I want that aren't my favorite bands or quick sellouts and it's been working out in my favor waiting for promotions, used copies, etc. This record looks nice but not $40-50 nice (and not selling out proves that). It's been a hell of a week between this, Caspian, and Dethklok (and probably others I didn't see).
  10. No word from the webstore but Amazon and Revolver are showing a delayed ship date of July 7th. I don't know why so many webstores can't just send a freaking email to let us know it's delayed.
  11. Is it just me or is the price insane?
  12. I was (still am) a super huge Superheaven fan. I went to TWIABP/Dads/Pity Sex/Daylight on a Saturday in 2013 and I think less than 100 people showed up which made it easy to get records signed. 4th time I saw Superheaven was a headliner and I'd say maybe 200 people came out for the Ours is Chrome record release if I remember right. I'm also glad they're getting the recognition now. At the Philly show Tay said something along the lines of "where the fuck were you years ago?" when commenting on how many people showed up. I saw The Hotelier in 2015 with La Dispute & Title Fight and even that show didn't pull 1,000 people but I'm glad I saw them and thank god my wife was smart enough to buy a copy of HLNIT at the time. It's funny how I thought these shows were the biggest thing at the time but the turnout today would be so much bigger.
  13. It's impossible to take anything he says seriously but he said he's done with country. I liked Cowboy Tears but the song structure was bare bones and wasn't nearly as good as Alien Boy or Ugly is Beautiful. I'm hoping this is a return to form. Miss You is already one of my favorites and beat anything off Cowboy Tears.

  22. https://consequence.net/2023/06/sparklehorse-posthumous-album-bird-machine-evening-star-supercharger-stream/ "Linkous began working on his fifth Sparklehorse album with Steve Albini in 2009. He tragically died by suicide the following year, but he left behind handwritten notes featuring Bird Machine’s title and tracklist — and according to his brother Matt and sister-in-law Melissa, songs that were already close to completion. The quality of the songs helped Matt and Melissa — who have worked as Linkous’ archivists since his death — decide to finish and release Bird Machine, though Matt called it the hardest choice he’s ever made. “It’s difficult making a choice about someone else’s art, even if you’ve known them all your life and worked with them, even if they were your brother and best friend,” he said. “We had long conversations about not wanting to take this into a different direction. We wanted to bring out what was there.” The couple was joined by previous Sparklehorse collaborators Alan Weatherhead, Joel Hamilton, and Greg Calbi, who handled the album’s production, mixing, and mastering, respectively. “It means so much to me, this last batch of beautiful stuff that my brother was putting together,” Matt said. “When I sit down and put on a pair of headphones, I run it all the way through. Everything from ‘It Will Never Stop’ to ‘Evening Star Supercharger’ to ‘Stay,’ that’s just Mark letting it all out.” Toy piano, mellotron, and wurlitzer add a quirky, cinematic quality to “Evening Star Supercharger,” a melancholy, midtempo number that otherwise rests on Linkous’ acoustic guitar. “Well I kicked and I screamed from zero to four/ And I still don’t know what for,” the artist sings. The song comes with a music video featuring Linkous’ handwritten lyrics, which makes the project feel like a final goodbye to the beloved musician. Check it out below. Pre-orders for Bird Machine are ongoing. The project features “It Will Never Stop,” a song Sparklehorse’s estate shared back in December. Before that, the artist appeared alongside MF DOOM in “Ninjarous,” a song shared by Danger Mouse."
