JacobMckinley got a reaction from kurtgrindcore in Metallica Repress under Blackened Recordings
I'm gonna catch flak for this, but I'm in for St. Anger.

So, i put it up there for 30 bucks because i didn't really care, it was free. By time the auction ended it hit $950.
I chatted a bit with the winner, and apparently it was a 3 way duel between the 3 biggest collectors on the Foo Fighters O-Board.
Fucking What?

My '65 Jazzmaster Reissue. I am debating replacing the pick guard with a gold or red one. One of these days i'll pull my Schroeder Db7 out of the closet and take some photos.

JacobMckinley got a reaction from thievedrelic in Record Stores in Portland and Seattle.
There might already be a thread about exactly this, but just in case.
You can't go wrong with 2nd Avenue records in Portland for your Metal/Punk/Hardcore needs. Music Millennium off of Burnside is also a winner.

JacobMckinley reacted to darkeyelids in David Bowie Blackstar SURPRISE
idk why you're being a jerk but okay.
The article states "IF YOU LEAVE BOWIE'S BLACKSTAR IN THE SUN, SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL HAPPENS"
For the starry effect to occur you don't leave it in the sun, how is that not misleading?

I will gladly retract my statement where i inferred that this reminds me of middle period Coldplay, as i wasn't really trying to infer that the bands sound like each other in any way, which seems to be what most people are taking away from the comment.
I was never trying to bash Radiohead, IMO OK/Kid A/Hail to the Thief is about as solid of a 3 album run as any band could have, the point that i was poorly trying to make is that i didn't feel that the song was engaging in the way Radiohead is often engaging to me. I really dislike King of Limbs but i can say that i felt engaged if not challenged by it. The new song didn't grab me at first, but as this thread continued i couldn't just assume that y'all were just flat wrong so i gave it about 5 more listens on my Audeze's. It definitely grew on me, i tried to focus on the bass and the strings as so many had mentioned here, and i could start to hear the heart of the song revealing itself.
TLDR, sorry for comparing this to Coldplay, at the time i was trying to say that i felt this was undeserving of blind hype, but at the end of the day Radiohead is Radiohead so fuck me.

You applying absolute truth to an objective word like 'Safe' says the exact right amount about you.
