I got a bit lost on my run this morning. I tried a new route and ended up nowhere near where I thought I was going to be. Basically, I turned the wrong way and thought I was going south but was actually going north. Stupid clouds covering the sunrise! On the bright side, I ended up logging my first half marathon on my brand new GPS watch. It was the longest run I've done in 5 years. We'll see if I can walk tomorrow!

I am pretty sure this is getting repressed soon. Or at least it was.

Groin pull is pretty rare for a runner, especially a distance runner. Were you doing something else like playing basketball when you first felt it? Could be a hip flexor strain. Where exactly is the pain?

What about most runs in the month or most consecutive days running? That's all I can think of right now. Or most time running on a treadmill

Got mine yesterday. Looks awesome but has a few scratches on the disc. At least it doesn't skip. -

Lately it seems that every Sub Pop pre-order gets the loser edition. I've even preordered the day before the release and gotten it.- 329 replies

I'm hoping to get up to 40 miles per week this month. It feels like a lot, which is funny since I used to run 70 a week! I guess that's what happens when you start to get old. RhoBearToe, thanks for the kind words. Just to put this into perspective, I ran 15:41 back in 2009. That was the last time I did an actual 5k road race. I'm hoping to do one later this month. I know I won't be anywhere near my PR, but I can dream!

4 is interesting to me because the softer tracks like Atlanta and Glide sound great, but some of the heavy rockers sound flat. Still glad I picked up a copy. -
That looks like a perfect tempo run. As long as you get faster or stay consistent, you are doing it right! The other day I quit my run after five minutes. It was about the worst I had ever felt while running. Figured a walk would be more beneficial. All of my runs since have been great!

Ordered. Looks so good. -
I'm probably pretty lucky, but I've been running for 18 years now without ever having been fitted for shoes. I've had some hip injuries, but no stress fractures (and the hip injuries were mostly because I was being stupid with my training). On the flipside, I used to take my athletes to a respected local running store. We had more injuries after they got their new "properly fitted" shoes. It's a bit of a crap shoot. A lot of those running stores will push a certain brand or model even if it isn't right for you. I'm not saying you shouldn't get fitted. Just be careful about it. Most of those running store employees have very little training. I was good friends with a bunch of guys at a few different shoe shops, and I know what their shoe training was like. The ultimate factor is what's comfortable for you, and only you know that.

If the pain is on the outside of the shin (right side of the leg), then chances are good that it isn't a stress fracture. That's not the load bearing side, so it's pretty rare to get a stress fracture there without pretty serious overtraining. The fact that it hurts less today is a really good sign. Probably just inflammation caused by tightness or mild overuse. Rest a day or two and roll out your calf. How old are your shoes? That could be another culprit.

I usually pre-order MOV through Soundstage. I did No. 4 with Amazon though. Saved ten bucks that way. -

Finally! Now I just need Core on clear. I wonder if anyone would trade clear for my yellow copy. -
Peeing in locker room showers in college was pretty much a requirement. But I guess it wouldn't fly as much in a professional workplace.

This Is the Only Time I've seen someone commit such an act of Heresy. You are a Ruiner of albums, my friend. I'll buy this and put it Right Where it Belongs, because I am The Collector.

Album is great, but the /250 looks lame compared to the pre-release photos. -
Same here, but I think I paid 22.99.

The only reason I'd go to a Manson show is to hear Cake and Sodomy.
