ntslash got a reaction from kentin31 in What would you do if you won?
The first thing I would do if I won is go to work naked.

ntslash got a reaction from eight1echo in Man, Guns N' Roses used to be sort of bad-ass.
Dude, this is the internet. Comparisons don't have to make sense. Just having some fun. You don't have to take silly comments so seriously.

ntslash got a reaction from Capkurt6 in PO: Kid Rock - Devil Without a Cause & Cocky (2/12)
A friend and I used to drive around in his piece of shit Oldsmobile blasting "Cowboy" on our way to work every night. Those were the days. Really shitty days, that is. The only way I would buy this album now is if I found it in the $1 bin and there was a half-off sale.

Scott was also on a podcast the other day, and confirmed that As Good As Dead is getting a reissue on vinyl next April(ish).
Here's a link to the podcast for those interested: http://digmeout.podbean.com/e/255-interview-with-scott-lucas-of-local-h/
They talk about the reissue at the 38:52 mark, but the whole thing is worth a listen.

Revisited this album last night. Really solid stuff. Their best since PJ Soles.

ntslash got a reaction from thespungo in Packing/moving with vinyl advice
I moved 500 miles a couple summers ago. Like everyone else, I used uhaul boxes. I packed all my most favorite records in two boxes that I kept in my car. The other dozen boxes went on the moving truck. I wrote fragile and do not stack on them. The movers stacked them all on top of each other and put more heavy Shit on top of that. Guess how many were damaged? Yup, not even a bent corner.

Record labels will inflate prices if they want to inflate prices, regardless of whether a dude on a forum says he would pay more or a thousand people on forums say they wouldn't. Bands I truly love can have my $25 without even sending me a vinyl for all I care, just keep up the art!

Goddammit, I am tired of people complaining about the cost of a record. I see people dropping $25 on two Budweisers at a concert. I see people dropping $5 a day on their stupid Starbucks shit. I see people dropping $50+ to drink at a bar every weekend. If you don't want to pay $25 for a great record, something you can listen to and enjoy again and again, then get the fuck out of vinyl collecting. Or just steal the mp3s. Jesus Christ.
And go ahead and downvote this all you want, but you know I'm right. Fucking $25. That's an hour of work for the average college grad.

Cam Newton saved me this week. 1 pt from Hurns, 1 pt from Witten, 4 pts from Freeman (concussion). But I'm still going to get the win because of Newton and all those touchdowns.

ntslash got a reaction from RowBearToe in A Thread for Runners - 2016 Yearly Challenge - Most Miles
Great job, Rob! As far as the age group thing, I always told my runners that you can't control how fast everyone else is. You can only control how fast you are. Sounds like you did exactly that and ran awesome!

ntslash reacted to RowBearToe in A Thread for Runners - 2016 Yearly Challenge - Most Miles
Another month, another Nathan monthly challenge victory with 9.14 miles in 1 hour. The October challenge is Fastest 5 Miles, so get out there and see how fast you can do it!
Thread's been dead for a little bit, what's everyone been up to? Training for anything? Run any races lately?
I have to give a big shout out to Nathan for helping me with my training. I had a 10k and 10 Miler 2 weeks apart and he put together a 7 week training program that was awesome. I absolutely loved it! It was challenging but didn't kill me and I PRd in both races: 10k - 46:43 (7:31 pace) and 10 Miler - 01:17:33 (7:45 pace). Thanks man!
For the 10 Miler I was hopeful to place in the top 3 in my age group and after the race I was really happy with my time and how I performed. Then I looked at the results and realized I finished 5/7 in my age group (which included the overall winner). I was 36/306 overall but damn my age group was fast. Brought me back down to reality and will provide some extra motivation for next year haha
