I’d hate to shit on your shitting cause they deserve every bit of it, but if you really look at it, it does make sense. His head is kind of tilted back and you can see his eyes glowing. It’s one of those things where it can play tricks on your eyes depending how you look at it.
Ok, now I see the eyes and it makes more sense. Still.

I'm burnt out today, but I would still like to shit on a Space Lab 9 IMMEDIATE RELEASE so here I am.
The perspective on those antlers doesn't make any sense. Would it make sense if I'd played the game?

I've made zero effort to get one outside of seeing Caleb from DW post that link and going "Oh, that was two hours ago...I'll still click the link tho"
But if you sell me the variant at cost I PROMISE to get reallllllllly stoned every time I spin it. I've still got a couple edibles I snuck through airport security too.

Got my silver yesterday. Album is really good.

I'm still unlimited for now. Only thing showing last night was The Happytime Murders and I want to rack up some Regal points while I can.
Not that I wasn't expecting it to be terrible...but I really should have just taken a picture of my ticket and then thrown it in the trash.

Anyone else get a Creep vibe from Us/We/Are? I can't place exactly why.
Had this thought listening in my car yesterday. Also kinda heard some Weezer In the Garage in there, but in the same way that one Brand New song kinda sounded like it.

Production debate aside, we can all agree it fucking slaps though right?
-
I listened on Spotify on my way home today and it sounded fine. Had my volume at 45 rather than my usual 35ish.
I dunno, the production feels really intentional and I think it works. The songs definitely slap though. Gonna have to say it's my favorite thing they've done even if that one riff in ACB is the best.

I'd love to hear what you think in comparison to this record. Do it.
Yo this sounds like someone covered all the mics in piles of laundry. It's gets worse the louder you go. Jesus Christ.
Dance on the Blacktop and Tertia aren't even in the same game, let alone playing on the same field production wise. I knew it wasn't good...but can we kickstart a rerecording? Because the music is amazing.

If I can still hear after the Vein show I'll spin it tonight

Got the email about having an option to pull out of movie pass and be refunded for the rest of the year. I think I have until Friday to do that, probably do it sometime early this week. It was a good run, I saw around 50 movies with it, but after having a kid in May, and moviepass changing their design to only allow certain movies and certain times, I really haven't been able to use it. My window to see movies has significantly decreased, so in the rare event I do get a sitter or can sneak out late on my own, I don't want to be restricted to 2 different movie options of their choice.
I remember some people mentioning other subscription services at some point in this thread. Any of those allow you see whatever movie you want where ever? I'm fine only getting 2-3 a month. I just want to be able to see 2-3 I choose. Also don't really have an AMC near me, so would be nice if I could find a subscription that works at Regal and some of the other indie places around me.https://www.sinemia.com/new-plans
There's a 3 a month plan for $14.99. includes 3D and Imax.

I'm legit terrified to listen to Tertia on my new setup. Before it was just kinda "Eh, this isn't good"

Yeah, you're not wrong about that at all. I guess "flipping" is technically not the right word to use, by definition, but like you said... it's comparably shitty. Of course we could play devil's advocate and assume the guy is a mega-fan who just ran into some medical issues or car troubles, but $1,800 OBO seems pretty insane and I definitely don't think that's the case here.
Yeah and if that WERE the case he'd have MUCH better luck coming out and saying "Hey, shits fucked up and I need money...here's this thing"
99.9% chance it's some turd trying to cash in on his good luck from the band doing something nice. Especially since no Converge record has ever in history sold for even CLOSE to that much. Like...not even in that ballpark and there are much rarer Converge records.

If you buy vinyl/CD/cassette off Bandcamp now, you get free d/l ... vs pre-ordering. That's cool.
You got the Tricolor? Maybe it's just this variant or a batch that got botched. On Bandcamp with cheap earbuds, it sounds alright. But I'm breaking their heart, now I keep listening, since I haven't paid for the music (Deluxe and CS from Relapse don't count).
Nah, I've got the /100 merge. Maybe they botched the tri-color but I don't see how it could be THAT egregiously different from the other pressings. Outside of "each of the 3 colors has a distinctly different sound"

What's shitty is that it's a signed copy, which means there's like a 99% chance it was won from that Spotify promo leading up the album. I'm actually kind of surprised it took this long for one of the winners to flip their copy.
This is exactly what I was thinking. That's why I wish the band would call him out. Flipping a record for a dumb amount that no one will actually pay is whatever, but I figured it was the Spotify "fan" giveaway thing which makes it fucking shitty. Then again, every splatter copy was a giveaway as far as I know, so it's shitty all around regardless.
-
IMO the production has a ~feel~ to it, but it definitely isn't bad.
I've only had my upgraded setup for a week or so, but this isn't even the worst mastered record I've received this weekend.

I didn’t know people actually received records they ordered from TMS
Literally everyone until the last Caspian drop as far as I know.

I get flipping a record...but this is just stupid. I honestly wish the band would call his ass out.
-
If you can't find someone here, I'd hold out on those discogs prices. I really doubt it's gonna sell at any of those prices. I could be wrong, but but with the amount of copies available in general I just don't see it going for ~$100. Especially once the hype dies down.
-
God damn that's a bad cover tho

Album is a certified slapper. Doesn't kinda fizzle out and keep going on the back half like ToT. Production sounds great, but I can kinda hear the weirdness that people don't like. Like Sunshine said, crank the volume.
Couple moments DO sound oddly like Weezer's Green Album...but like...if they were fucking dope instead.
Note: I really tried to get into Downward and GoE when they came out and just couldn't. Liked a lot of ToT. After one listen I'm going to tentatively say this new one is their best. But yeah, YMMV.

For reference my cars volume has 40 notches. I usually listen at 30 and its loud as it needs to be because around 32 or 33 everything starts to distort and sound like garbage. I play this album at 36 and it sounds so clear. Loudest album I've heard this year probably
Only 2 songs in, but I'm currently listening to this so loud that I might get the cops called on me (got a new amp and spearkers last week) and can confirm.
