Pretty bummed I didn't know about this album when that Pink/White was available.

He's been doing that piece with them live for probably 2-3 years now. It used to be at the beginning of Volcano. Chris Z is a cool dude, I've spoken with him a couple times. Stood next to him in a packed basement while he held Greg's broken mic stand for him. I'm super stoked for Between Bodies. They've been talking about doing a collaboration with him for awhile now and I was expecting a 7" so a full length was an awesome surprise.

Yeah, I just got back from that. Everything hurts and my ears are ringing, but had an awesome time. I'm glad I got there in time to see Caravels, they killed it.

Internet, drink, or both. Sometimes video games if I'm just fucking around playing COD multiplayer or something. Sometimes when I'm sewing I'll listen to records but I get annoyed when I have to get up to flip sides.

Bowling for Soup is still a band? I remember the one time I went to Warped Tour (10 years ago holy shit) some street teamer tried to convince my friends and I to go see them. We just laughed, but I think we should have because then my friend got a concussion and we left and missed all the bands we actually went to see.

1. Why do cops get away with so much in your country? Fuck cops. 2. When I was in Florida last October I couldn't help but just feel an intense and completely hopeless sadness. Does anyone else feel this in their own home state? Florida is kind of embarrassing. I'm from NY which isn't awful, just boring. Unless you go too far North or West then it's awful. 3. Why did you go to University/College? It's REALLY shoved down our throats that going to college is the only way to get a good job and anyone who doesn't go to college is doomed to work at McDonalds until they die. I dropped out due to mental health reasons with the intention of going back. Couldn't afford to go back while still being able to live independently and figured I had a enough debt already so fuck it. 4. Do you vote? It seems so pointless in the USA to vote. Why do you/don't you? In Presidential elections, yes. Other elections, not so much. I'm a terrible person and would rather sleep in before work. 5. Those states that legalized weed, is the weed any good? What is the pricing like? What sort of tax is placed on it? Are there any records kept of buyers identities? Fuck weed because I can't smoke it anymore without having a panic attack. I still miss it every day and the one time I smoked some medical grade shit someone got from California it fucked me up something fierce. Also, they keep TONS of records on people with medical marijuana licenses. No idea what Colorado and Washington are up to now that recreational use is legal. 6. What is your experience from public schooling? I got bullied from probably 2nd grade through 8th. Then I slept through high school. Guess I learned enough to graduate with honors and then breeze through community college.

Husker Du - Zen Arcade

I like Brand New enough. The cult that seems to have grown around them puts me off them a little, but some real talk: Devil and God/Daisy > Deja/YFW. I have a lot of nostalgia for their first two albums because I was in high school when they came out, but the 2nd half of their discography is far superior. (I wasn't participating in this thread during the D debacle, but Daughters - Daughters would have gotten my vote)

I remember being bummed I didn't have the $60 for the buy in on this way back in the day. It seems to be the one thing where my early 20s lifestyle of "Spend all my money on weed" was the right choice.

Got my White and Pink copies in the mail today. Packaging is beautiful and it sounds great. In pictures the pink just looks pink, but up close you can see a bit of the white smoke. 10/10 would buy again.

They came INSANELY close to releasing Bird Jesus. They got all the way to the "Really? This pokemon will be gone forever." prompt and then someone hit B, but the very next button hit was A.

Converge - You Fail Me Runners up: End of a Year - You Are Beneath Me The Saddest Landscape - You Will Not Survive Prawn - You Can Just Leave it All Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime It was realllllly close between Converge, End of a Year, and The Saddest Landscape but You Fail Me is just a monster of a record. YABM is the best punk record of the decade though.

I hope MWY closes on Friday. Everyone I'm going with is going JUST for MWY and it's going to be annoying enough trying to get everyone on the road early enough to not get stuck missing Caravels while standing in line. I've been peeping MWY set lists and they've been playing Bullet to Binary, The Soviet, and January 1979 but not usually on the same days and sometimes none of them get played. I just want to hear one of them. Especially BtB because I've never seen them play it despite seeing them a bunch back in the day.

Barely make it out to shows anymore. Maybe make it out to 3-4 a year. But next week I'm going out to CT for Touche Amore/Mewithoutyou/Caravels and then next month I'm seeing Old Gray and Prawn. I am going to feel old as fuck and out of place at both of these gigs.
