  4. Read the first three books a while back, which I enjoyed. Sat down last night to start watching and it is fantastic, not BSG fantastic but definitely the best sci-fi show that I've seen since.
  5. Got a clear as well off Discogs for a fair price. Looks amazing, sounds great.
  6. I need some framing ideas from you guys. Not too sure what to do with some of these posters. I saw a post on here from 2007 regarding Jane Doe, it had gold frame/matting and looked damn fine. Any suggestions?
  7. Yuri Gagarin's 2nd full length LP, At The Center Of All Infinity. Take a listen, I'm about half way through as of now and I am enjoying it quite a bit. A vinyl release was set for December 2nd but as you would have guessed... It's been delayed.
  8. This week's purchases: Locrian - Infinite Dissolution - /100 - Clear Obsequiae - Aria Of Vernal Tombs - /105 - Gold So Hideous - Laurestine - /100 - Translucent Purple
  9. CS:GO is all I play, next to poker. Currently sitting at LE, have been climbing slowly lately.
  10. So I've been thinking a lot about starting my own indie record label out of my basement (I have no idea where to start), and first thing that came to mind was which albums I would want to press. I don't think I've ever mention these guys anywhere on VC but if some of you enjoy them even half as much as I do, then I've done my job. These guys have been one of my favorite bands for some time now. I present to you... BATS, the post-hardcore,math rock band from Dublin: The Sleep of Reason: https://bats.bandcamp.com/album/the-sleep-of-reason Recommended tracks - Stem Cells, The Sleep of Reason Brings Forth Monsters, Creatures Collecting, The Fall of Bees Red in Tooth & Claw: https://bats.bandcamp.com/album/red-in-tooth-claw Recommended tracks - Gamma Ray Burst (Second Date), Andrew Wiles, Star Wormwood, Vermithrax Pejorative
  11. I'm going to assume the 2002 Solaris, not the 1972 one right? The score to Soderbergh's was perfect, Cliff Martinez really made the movie work for me.
  12. Damn... Forgot about Lost in Translation. Might have to replace Her with it. Bill Murray is a God.
  13. This could be the hardest thing I've done all month. Here's my top 10 for the time being: 1. 28 Days Later 2. Primer 3. Children Of Men 4. The Matrix 5. The Fountain 6. Spirited Away 7. Her 8. Blade Runner 9. Enemy 10. Prisoners Honorable mentions: - Watchmen - District 9 - Apocalypse Now - Contact - Casino Royale - There Will Be Blood - Collateral - Black Hawk Down - Minority Report - The Descent - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  14. Just gorgeous. Would he take $100 for it? I'm actually getting mad at myself for missing this.
  15. Will anyone take my green/white EU copy off my hands at cost?
  16. I can't believe the album is 4 years old already, it feels like only yesterday. I'm glad a lot of you are finally getting to hear it.
  17. These guys are great, too bad they aren't doing much right now. Still was the first record I ever owned. Absolutely insane album.
  18. Trying to think back here. First Post-Rock exposure must have been Tides - Resurface and first Post-Metal was Supercontinent - Vaalbara roughly 8 years ago. It didn't take me long to find Rosetta and Isis via the Youtube recommendations after that. It's safe to say since that day, my musical taste change in a way I never thought possible. Disturbed turned to Godspeed You Black Emperor, System of a Down turned to Russian Circles, and Lamb of God turned to Sigur Ros. Post-Rock/Metal also turned me on to some genres I had long ignored. I found myself listening to more Black-Metal, Sludge, Crust, Experimental and Drone than ever before. Post-Rock truly has brought a new light to my world .
  19. Damn, so many albums from 2011 I wanted to add. Oh well, here we go. Laugh away. Just realized my taste in music is rather FUBAR. Rosetta - The Galilean Satellites Fall Of Efrafa - Inle Giant Squid - Metridium Fields The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand BATS - Red In Tooth & Claw Deftones - S/T System Of A Down - Toxicity Russian Circles - Enter Amia Venera Landscape - The Long Procession The Offspring - Smash
  20. Yea. I used 1/16" ones, so the print looks like it's right up against the plexi.
  21. I finally took the time to have this beauty framed after nearly a year of it sitting in my closet. Brushed metal frame with museum plexi.
  22. Was really hoping for one or two of the posters to be decent other than the S/T so I could justify putting them on my wall. Looks like they will be sitting in my closet until I have a dedicated music room where no one but myself can laugh at them.
