  1. They should just press Volcano and get it over with. That was an incredible album! Let's start a petition to get Fearless' attention. Maybe with at least 500 signatures we could get a limited pressing like how that new beatdelete.com site is working. Just a thought. And if that works we could move on to the other albums.
  2. Person had a dented up copy of IKSSE:3 laying out on a wood deck with dry leaves all over it. Said it was "near mint" and it ended up selling for almost $300 I think. Sheesh!
  3. We've got a better chance of this album being pressed again than we do In Keeping Secrets or Good Apollo Vol. I thanks to Sony.
  4. Saw this earlier and had a good chuckle. Pretty damn cool but not for that price.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOW-NOW-EVERY-CHILDREN-CARS-VINYL-TAPETE-INDIGO-NEW-/131096996457?pt=UK_Records&hash=item1e85fd6a69 Now, Now (Every Children)'s first LP for $11.63 w/ free shipping! Crazy good deal.
  6. Same here. STL was an awesome show but I'm legitimately bummed we didn't get that cover. One of my favorite songs ever.
  7. What everyone else said. Great album...horrible pressing. Enjoy The Ride Records, where art thou!?
  8. Whaa!? That would make me one happy dude if Conversation Piece is pressed!
  9. I've listened to all of the albums from front to back w/ my Grado headphones and I'm willing to testify that they sound fantastic. Royal Ocean definitely sounds leaps and bounds better than before and every other album is on point. I actually hadn't checked out Acceptance Speech until now but I'm glad I waited.
  10. Random heads-up for anyone in the NE Kansas area: I was able to nab both Juturna and OLG from the HT @ The Oak Park Mall. The chick there said they were the only store in the state to get copies. Not sure if they had any more since I only had time to grab my copies and jet (made a last-minute trip from Topeka to there and had to go in to work tonight) but it's worth a call if you're in the area.
  11. The split with Empire! Empire! and Malegoat. I've got a major soft spot for great emo-ish stuff and these two bands are among the tops for me.
  12. I imagine Rise stuck the name on everything since they're going to be selling them individually next year. I agree about the cover for AS! Santa came to Kansas early today and my boxset showed up. Like everyone else has said, it is stunning. Can't wait to get a moment to play these start to finish.
  13. I think my girlfriend and I have single-handedly gotten Topeka's HT to start getting new releases again. Only took about a year and a half of pestering. I'm ready to pick up S/T whenever it hits the shelf!
  14. I thought this was pretty silly TBH. I totally see where Ken is coming from but there's not really a need to demonize ORG here. They did what they had to do to attain the rights and materials needed to press an album that had never been available on vinyl before. I feel like any anger should be directed towards Rhino/Warner. I would really be surprised if the omissions on the vinyl were ORG's decision since they normally do great work. Ken was probably just upset he didn't get a check from this. If he cared so much they could have gotten Comfort (which ORG also did) and Magnified pressed and made Fantastic Planet more available than the limited release that's now impossible for fans to get for under $100. But oh well.. here's to a widely available, officially-sanctioned vinyl boxset sometime in the next year (hopefully).
  15. It would be nice if MMP could be licensed out to Rise like The Room's Too Cold was. They did an awesome job with that.
  16. http://cleorecs.com/store/shop/william-shatner-ponder-the-mystery-2lp/ Only quality vinylsss from these cats.
  17. I second with MOV being worth it. Even if Atlantic represses it like they did for Core and Purple their release and MOV's are completely different ballparks. I'm fairly sure Atlantic has just been straight-up repressing the originals from back in the day. Which is unfortunate because both Core and Purple's OP's weren't the best in sound quality since they squashed the whole albums onto one disc. MOV on the other hand are doing reissues but not represses technically, if that makes any since. They're using high quality digital transfers of the masters and putting the albums on vinyl again from the ground up. Usually with better results than the original releases if their versions of Core and Purple are used as a benchmark.
