  1. Lettuce not forget Andy send me a ghost doodle with a fun pun written on the envelope.
  2. I don't think you're supposed to care about the drug circles too much really.. I've enjoyed the show a lot for what it is, an interesting statement on family bond constructs and the amount of strain they can handle as well as the peril in allowing such bonds to lead to unhealthy dynamics. I saw the drug circles as more of mechanism to convey the relationship of father-daughter with the rival druglord-teacher; the unbalanced brother-sister relationship of Dylan's sibling bosses (which I also believe to be represented in Norman and the oxygen-reliant hotel employee); as well as emphasizing the broken parent relationship of Dylan and Norma shown through her tendency to barge into his domain without consideration to anyone other than Norman with marvel and compliment towards his success a secondary notion. Of course where the success in the finale shined for me was in the representation of the contrastingly intimate mother-son dynamic Norma shares with her other son, Norman. The writer's finally brought it past the playful tackles onto beds and other moments of uneasiness to finally make us feel truly uncomfortable with the almost romantic intimacy shared between the two. Which is the grand intention of the show, to let us view the development of the bond Norman Bates perceived himself to hold with his mother. How that led him to believe in channeling/killing for her. It was successful to me in intensifying that aspect of the show as well as adequately closing the circles of the other pairs of characters which I've previously mentioned.
  3. Surprised to hear people are sensing a lack of intensity or are seemingly perceiving the album as dull.. their last few releases seemed to be growing increasingly hefty to me. (Though I haven't heard this yet.)
  4. Whenever I saw them there were no acoustic instruments, but the show did climax with the lead vocalist/guitarist using a deer hoof (with the leg as a handle) as a guitar slide/crazy pick. Will never forget that.
  5. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind as me and my friend both have multiple prints laying flat waiting for frames to be hanged.
  6. So am I doing it wrong whenever it comes to collecting show prints or is framing USUALLY more expensive than the actual prints? Threre must be an easier way than ordering custom sized frames. I know some people make their own but how does one go about that and is it cheaper?
  7. I swear a few weeks ago I saw the exact episode they went with instead of you guys because I saw the awkward proposal.
  8. I didn't know no idols got pressed. Alchemist did great on that.
  9. "Shaq Fu..." "...Awful" Shame on you.... (But really after playing it for the first time in 15 years recently, it really is so terribly awful.)
  10. This is an odd thread to come across right after I spent some time yesterday playing Shaq-Fu on a Sega Genesis emulator.
  11. What's ridiculous about cherishing physical reminders of years past? A slow warm death record will always bring me back to the days spent all throughout 2013 listening to it and the memories I made then in the same way a History of Trunks VHS tape will always remind me of the days whenever eight year old me insisted on watching it every day. Part of my attachment to physical belongings has always been associating them with the memories which have been embedded in them. Dunno how that is ridiculous.
  12. This was probably mentioned but its difficult to backtrack on my phone. How many were pressed of each?
  13. I tend to gravitate towards teenage nostalgia and things I'm interested in currently which I can see myself cherishing as nostalgic-for-now in a decade.
  14. I too am upset on missing out, so I get it. But I get the other end too. Can't blame the label for doing nothing wrong and everything right I guess. I think maybe the frustration is with our own inability to indulge in that which we want whenever it's available because it's simply not possible at the time.
  15. More power to you guys. If you repress whenever I have income I will happily buy a copy. I dig his music as well as many of the other artists on the label (including your own stuff). I'm just too poor to hang right now. But I still have the shirt and slipmat bookmarked for later, so my money is destined for you whether its via Alex G or not lol.
  16. I've never been able to get past this guys artistic name of choice in order to attempt his music but I raise a child with severe cerebral palsy so that may just be a personal issue.
  17. Man, Pokemon Snap....now I'm just imagining how successful an open-world remake on wii u would be. I mean, imagine the handheld camera mechanics and the ability to search open areas stealthily with fear of scaring away the Pokemon if you got to near...it'd be like MGSV but with cameras and adorable creatures instead of war and murder.
  18. I finally listened to No Youth and I was really surprised by what I heard.
  19. If this was sarcasm I'd like you to know I at least am a pretty big fan of the music you put out on your label. Like I previously mentioned I did jump on Boring Ecstasy and am stoked to receive it. I will however admit to being a bit scorned over missing out on this Alex G physical pressing....but I at least realize that with the way you run things I will still be able to hear the album for free digitally upon release, and in light of that I will maintain high respect for the label.
  20. 20 for Alex's full length (which I doubt hits far past the half hour mark in length) really is steep as hell. I thought it was merited for Boring Ecstasy since it was an anniversary release for the entire label that will never get repressed....they're already talking about maybe repressing this though. 15 would be a lot more reasonable. And hopefully they start doing less limited runs with all this exposure.
  21. Every time you say or post Goofy the chances of the soundtrack getting pressed increase as goofy as that may sound. While your post was a bit goofy, I will agree that the anatomical liberties taken by the artist were a bit goofy and unrealistic. Goofy.
  22. I'm pretty upset these are so expensive. Been telling myself all year I'd order his debut but of course it drops when I'm in between jobs. At least I secured boring ecstasy I guess.
