Found out today that this album is being re-pressed and will be available again on the 7th. I'm sure the deluxe vinyl does not have the extra tracks pressed, but you get them with the download (same with the standard vinyl, I imagine). I think the only difference for the deluxe is the art book.

This will be a compelling test for the flippers...the card in the LP specifically calls people out for trying to flip it. I guess we'll see if anyone bites. Also worth noting for anyone thinking of buying this...when I got mine at the SF show it came in a pvc sleeve, and it certainly looks from the website photos like that is still the case. If these have been sitting in storage for 3 years in that sleeve, they will almost certainly be outgassed as fuck upon receipt. Mine was a little bit already, and that was as soon as they were released. Buyer beware.

Weird that they decided to put out the box set RIGHT before they released a new album that they could have included.

This video makes me feel like I bought a glitchy, pawn-shop Playstation in '96, threw in a scratched copy of Bushido Blade, and watched a friend try to play while chugging a 2-liter of Pepsi. Really pretty song though.

Ok I got home and tried this thing again; I had to really jam it on the spindle and it definitely bent conically but I did get it down to the platter. Started spinning it and my tonearm just came back to the beginning repeatedly after playing the first few seconds. Dropped the needle halfway through the first side and it just does the same thing. Do you have to adjust tracking force for these flimsy discs as well? I'm starting to think these things are not worth the trouble.

So are you saying that you're actually supposed to deform the record to get it to fit? You guys are correct in that I've never owned a flexi before. Does the material not permanently form a cone from smashing it on there? I imagine that would make playing the B-side difficult...

Mine is the same way. I've just emailed them asking for a solution. I'm pretty sure the spindle size is a standardized thing...
