😂 I'm absolutely dense when it comes to the classics but I'm not even gonna' bother editing that post to save face. The apostrophe had me thinking it was the album Factory by Cosmos. Doesn't change anything though, because I am woefully unfamiliar with CCR so Cosmo's Factory is an equally large mystery to me. I suck. 🤷♂️
Alllllll good! Highly suggest the album though. If you've ever listened to classic rock radio as a kid you'll recognize at least one song, likely 3 or more. This album is a hit machine.

Good thread idea, I've toyed with the idea of making something very similar a few times in the past. It'd be cool if people try to comment on the post above – for example, I've never heard of Cosmo; forgive the laziness, but what genre would you classify them as?
Here's where I would keep the chain going if I had myself one of those light-bulb moments recently. If it counts, Big Ups' Before A Million Universes was the last record I played [earlier this week] where I knew it was good, and that I should be throwing it on more... but it still clicked especially hard. One of those moments where you throw an album on hoping that it'll scratch the itch you've got, and it ends up delivering in spades for the mood you're in. I think that kinda' counts.
So i was actually listening to the album Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It falls either in Southern Rock (although early for that) or classic rock. So many classic songs on that puppy.
Sometimes the album that perfectly fits the moment hits just right. I haven't heard the one you mentioned, so I need to get on that one.

Sometimes I'll pull a random album or use the discogs app to randomly select something from my collection to listen to, and I'll think, "Well fuck. This album/artist is awesome. Why aren't I listening to it more often?"
Tonight I pulled out Cosmo's Factory and was like, "Why am I not just constantly listening to CCR?"
Any albums that have done that for you lately?

Dammit, missed the PO, are there any other sources?
Nope. Open PO on the site only but it's over now.

At least we got the cassette, I guess.
Yeah, true. I didn't look, did they have a release date listed for the tape?

I did not, so I'm going to assume that's because of the cassette.
Dang it. Same.

Not a pre-order (yet) but I just wanted to share that Numero is FINALLY doing the Boilermaker catalogue and I’m over here shitting bricks over the news.
Fuck yeah!! Stoked. When this actually happens can someone make a real thread for it?

I’m sure this probably isn’t as individualized as it feels, but does anyone else feel like they’re in a bit of a rut or lull in terms of music? Between favorites not really being very active anymore and/or not finding much new music that I connect with, it just feels weird as I can’t recall another time in my life experiencing that. I probably should be digging into stuff that I’ve missed over the years, but I don’t have a huge drive to do that either. Anyone else experience this? What got you out of the rut?
I think we all go through this from time to time to an extent. I know I do. Sometimes it ends up with me breaking out some old stuff that I haven't listened to in a while, sometimes I find something new to love in an entirely new genre that I hadn't really looked into before. I was going through this for a little while and then recently I suddenly got way into reggae after never really listening to it in the past.

Oh, cool. I hadn't seen that I had just seen people mention it without linking anything.

Aye thank you, I'm ok with that. Not from Amazon, but from somewhere else for sure. Playable copy is all Jenny needs!
There have been some rumors that the retail version is a "translucent black" as well. Sounds like just a heavy smoke type variant to me if true, but if it is it'll look nice.

Honestly, I'm waiting on a couple last hot represses and then I can finally dump my vinyl subreddits.
There are some folks on here I enjoy chatting with, but I can't wait for it to be 100% casual chat shit and picking up stuff that I don't have any attachment to, rather than lying in wait for limited drops for super high demand stuff.

straight up didn't know this was happening cuz the boards were down, oops. hope extras went around to other retailers or there'll be another run or something, i sold my old copy forever ago when i needed to pay a medical bill
Amazon has them up for PO, I'm sure it'll be widely available elsewhere as well.

Same here. added to my cart 5 seconds after it went up, sat in a queue for 2 minutes, then it said it was no longer available. nice.
Ah, yeah, see you needed to add it to your cart 5 seconds before it went up. There's your problem.

I was a dumb ass and checked the releases page instead of the store (it was 7 am here, I was tired) so by the time I found the order page it was long gone.
Got a splatter and a cassette. Pretty stoked.

What's the word, @danny ?
Is there not someone checking in on the boards from time to time to see if they're up and running?

So is this board on its death bed or what? Sure feels like someone is struggling to keep the lights on consistently.
Not to mention it just happened to occur during one of the most anticipated represses in a loooooong time was happening.
This board is a joke. Days on end of issues with no one checking in or fixing it.

Need this and IKSSE3 bad. Hopefully that one gets a repress soon too.
Didn't realize it had been so long since its last repress.
I have an extra copy of the grey marble I'd be willing to part with for cash or the right trade.

why is bullmoose sending 1 cent gift cards? if you bought it before announcement and it went down a penny?
Because people (myself included) bought 1 cent gift cards to put us over the free shipping threshold but forgot to click for them to send us a digital code instead of a physical card.

Dude, right?
Give me a Second Stage and Can't Slow Down repress, and I will give you ALL OF THE FUCKING MONEY
Depending on the price I might buy a second copy of Can't Slow Down. It'd be nice to have colored copies of all the StD albums (except 9, that album doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned).

I just add something to my order that I know they'll never get in stock haha
Rhats smart too, I figure this way it puts some cash toward my next purchase. I mean...in this case one cent, but more down the line possibly.
An album you forgot how good it was:

Fucking for real. Great album! While this does certainly fall into "classic rock" territory I always just think of it as a prog album which for whatever reason is a whole different area of my brain. Yes falls into there too and they've got some killer albums that I listen to less than I should.
