  1. I have a brand new Ortofon 2M Red cartridge that's never been removed from its box. It was sent direct from the factory to replace one that was dislodged on a turntable I bought. Long story short, I replaced the cartridge before this one arrived and have no use for it. Asking for $85 ($99 on amazon). PM if interested.
  2. I'm guessing your credit card wasn't charged per se, but authorized for the amount. unfortunately, when that happens, the amount is deducted from your available credit/balance as they are waiting for the retailer to charge the card. it should fall off within a few days. i think it was free shipping if you spent over $50 or something. you must've bought something else.
  3. One sold on ebay for $66. So that's a big fat nope.
  4. I've literally never paid that much for a new record. That is not the norm, and I highly doubt everyone will just bite the bullet without complaining. Also, I think you and mutemath are definitely over-estimating their relevance. Any band that sees this and thinks they can also sell records for $75 are morons.
  5. I'll say this... I can't imagine spending $75 on a 10 year old record (or any record, for that matter) and ever thinking, "that was money well spent".
  6. To be fair, I'm pretty sure I'm arguing the same point I was arguing before, when you decided you didn't care for my opinions. Perhaps you're evolving.
  7. I wouldn't be so sure. If there are 1,000 copies that are out there (I was always under the impression the original pressing was 500), 1,000 new copies at this ridiculous price will saturate the market quite a bit. There will be a few flippers that list it right away for a ridiculous price to attempt to drive the cost up, but buying a $75 record and expecting to flip it for a ton of money is a pretty dumb investment. With 1,000 new copies available to the public, no one will be paying $250 for a copy anymore. I'd venture to guess that a majority of those fans have one mutemath release and it's a cd soundtrack from a certain movie.
  8. I cannot think of one $60 double LP that stayed $60, but I can think of tons of 180 gram, tip-on-sleeve, premium LP's that were under $30.
  9. Whoa that sucks. I was at the second show last night. Did not have VIP. I talked to him a bit after the show but didn't ask him to sign anything right away. Then a guy asked him if he could sign a poster for his friend and he said something similar. (Then I'd have to sign for everyone). But the guy was real emotional and told him he'd waited for him at several shows and asked when would be the best setting to get him to sign something. Billy said that if he made a donation to PAWS that he could sign it. Standing right there, I asked him to sign my Tristessa single, and he said "if you make a donation". I think we were the only groups of people left in the room, and he was walking out the door. I think that's really shitty that the VIP didn't include the opportunity to get something signed. Regardless, I would never pay for something like that. I've gotten stuff signed on two occasions and it was usually in very casual settings like that. The only reason I even asked was because the other guy got something signed and I support PAWS all the time.
  10. people are waiting in line to buy a record with poop on it with songs about poop that might smell like poop. 2016.
  11. The lineup that put out the album that sold out in a few hours vs. the lineup that put out the albums that haven't sold out would've been preferable.
  12. Haven't compared to the original pressing but DANB sounds pretty great. And I'm happy to report it's not GZ!
  13. My box didn't even arrive. I hate the new amazon delivery service. They always deliver to my work after hours.
  14. I recorded the whole show from the balcony with a condenser mic. It sounds pretty good but that room always comes out boomy. I'll try to clean it up a bit and post it soon. Oh, and here was the setlist: Where Are We Now? Honestly? Home Is Where the Haunt Is Give Me the Gun For Sure My Instincts Are the Enemy I Need a Drink (or Two or Three) I've Been So Lost for So Long I'll See You When We're Both Not So Emotional Stay Home Desire Gets in the Way Everyone Is Dressed Up ENCORE: The Summer Ends Born to Lose Never Meant
  15. It's looking to me like YM was erika and DANB is GZ. Which would explain all the different colors for DANB and lack thereof for YM.
  16. ewww. Looks like more GZ digital mastered vinyl coming. I'll stick with my OPs.
