  1. Just proof that there's no reason to chase old records anymore. Everything will be repressed eventually.
  2. Those were both equal vision. They only did Through Being Cool cause they were playing it on tour.
  3. No variant of any otherwise easily available record is worth anything near that.
  4. I feel like they're not even trying with their album titles anymore. That being said... Star Wars was great.
  5. so I guess these haven't been selling very well. did anyone buy it? how does it sound?
  6. Interesting. What made you definitively decide not to make another solo album? To be quite candid, when my mother passed in 2012, just right before when At the Drive-In played, I wasn't even there. I was not in my body. She passed one week before, and of course, as you can imagine, it made me look at everything in a different way, and it was a huge shock to my system. From that moment on, when I finally started the long road to accepting it and recuperating, I decided that I wanted to dedicate my time, while I'm still here, to collaborating with people and being a part of something and sharing things, rather than working on solo work, where I'm writing everything and doing everything and locked up in my studio. And from there, the idea was born: "I only want to be in bands now. I only want to make records with people." I started Bosnian Rainbows, and shortly after that I started Antemasque with [Cedric Bixler-Zavala]. Now, obviously, this with At the Drive-In. And eventually Mars Volta. It was really just a shock to my system, and this was just one of the ways it redirected my entire life. 7. I just got my magenta vinyl in the mail. The bad news is, it's very weak packaging. The great news is, it's one of the best sounding records I've received in a long time. The mix sounds incredible.
  8. Picked up the tour LP tonight. It was $25 and numbered out of 300 on a sticker on the outer sleeve. I got #2/300 since they didn't sell any merch until after the show. Unfortunately, the inner sleeves had seem splits. But it turned out really nice. It looks like the whole LP is a single disc and the second disc is the Weekend EP on one side and some covers on the other. I'll try to post a couple photos tomorrow.
  9. I'm seeing the first show of the tour tonight. Has anyone heard anything about whether they have the tour press ready?
  10. The UK pressing has stayed in print, the US pressing has been out of print for some time.
  11. Based on number of plays, these are the ones I keep listening to very often. Daughter - Not To Disappear Starflyer 59 - Slow (Their best in years!) Bat For Lashes - The Bride The Kills - Ash & Ice Nothing - Tired Of Tomorrow Operators - Blue Wave Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool Tancred - Out Of The Garden TW Walsh - Fruitless Research David Bazan - Blanco
  12. Wouldn't it make more sense to send it back for the correct record?
  13. pretty sure, there's no US pressing at all. The version amazon US is selling appears to be the same as amazon UK, as an import. The magenta vinyl is an indie store exclusive, so unless any American stores have access to that distributor, then I doubt you'll find it here.
  14. SRC isn't releasing it, Sub Pop is. SRC is just selling it. But like almost every other thing they sell, there's no reason to buy it from them.
  15. Well, if there's only 1500 copies, it may not be.
