  1. All of you know that if these were being sold at comiccon, limited to 1500 for $35, you'd all be begging someone to pick this up for you and offer to pay "a little bit extra". When you actually have access to it, you all complain.
  2. the original only had the two songs, it's cool they included the bonus acoustic tracks.
  3. i don't know what your specific experience entailed, but BTV has been, basically, a one man operation for a long time. Scott is awesome and I've had nothing but awesome interactions with him. And the releases have always been top notch. I can't say anything near the same for T&N. Their overpriced bare bones releases that sound like shit aren't exactly a step up from BTV. BTV knows how to actually release quality physical records. Sometimes he just gets backed up.
  4. This whole thing put a sour taste in my mouth. Even if they offered it today for $20, I don't think I'd pick it up. I haven't listened to Ixora since Aaron was a total dick on twitter defending their bullshit prices either. Kind of ruins it.
  5. i'm looking for mew and wolf alice and i'll be on a plane saturday morning. if anyone will be early to a store that gets a lot of stuff and not picking those up, i'd really appreciate the help. I really only want those two items and I'm sure a lot of stores will only get a few of them.
  6. finally got a chance to spin it today. i'm so happy to finally have this.
  7. is this a serious question? same reason people collect different records. Except force awakens will sell more blu rays in one day than any record will sell this whole year. do the math.
  8. No it didn't. The black copy was the original TMR pressing from a few years back. The gold vault edition had bonus tracks and was a completely new pressing.
  9. throw away the box if you don't like it. I for one, love these themed vault relesses all contained a box. Better than keeping the LP, did, and book on separate shelves. I'm fine with having a whole shelf of vault box sets. Bring 'em on!
  10. they didn't. There were 100 different variants and the VC/suburban home store got an exclusive variant. Both them and a distro that (I think) was called nerd alert records or something had their own variants of sound the alarm and under the boards. While the co-op was shitty cause Virgil took people's money, at least the got records. The really shitty situation was how many small labels had records on consignment that never got paid. He even started selling other people's records under cost, so he effectively stole. Then went of the grid.
  11. I think I read recently that they haven't spoken in years.
  12. This is the second record I received this week with a 192 kbps dropcard. So annoying.
  13. I just realized I'll be on a plane record store day morning. Anyone ever been to any of the Zia locations in Vegas? Are there long lines on RSD. I'll probably have a free hour or two in the morning where I can Uber over, but would rather not if it's a huge waste of time. I only want two releases.
  14. oh cool. Didn't realize he was signing all those. I assumed only deluxe was signed. That's definitely worth it if you're into that sort of thing.
