On reddit, Tycho mentioned releasing more music this year as well so if you’re not vibing this, maybe something down the road will. 
That being said, really don’t care for the vocals, definitely a change for his music as well. Easy has been a grower though

I would personally go with Awake.  Not only is it the most consistent, it’s also the shortest and gives you a nice smattering of their styles, new and old.

Probably better than we’d think.  I would be into it.  I have a feeling the entire album is going to be structured and stylized in a very tried-and-true, quality Tycho fashion.  I really don’t see them creating a record that crutches entire on vocals, so I imagine an instrumental version would be worth exploring if we get one.

I still think Awake is the best thing they've released; 2016's Epoch has some incredible moments but doesn't feel quite as consistent with its staying power.  I'm really enjoying the direction of this first single, though.  At this point in the game, Tycho can afford to push their horizons a bit... and that's what I'm hoping for with LP5.

I'm not that much of a fan of the song either, i generally don't like it when bands get into politics...whether i agree with it or not. But as long as politics won't find its way onto the next album i'm completely fine with it

If the title alone doesn't give it away, not much originality, lyrical content or much of anything else in that single. I guess that's what you get when your song was written by an executive at UMG. truly a globalist's wet dream. Dick Cheney's single of the week!
 

I think 500 is a bit overkill for these releases and a one-man label. Sad to see the midnight meltdown. Dan’s a good dude and shit happens. Glad he got it sorted. Also I’d expect these to ship pretty damn quickly—my order from the surprise pre-sale already shipped and will be here soon.

Kinda the same here, although i love all of their stuff up until viva la vida. That record is (in my opinion) really their magnum opus. I'm not interested at all in that new concert film but there also seems to be a separate  documentary that looks quite interesting!

It really says a lot about a person if they think it's acceptable to destroy private property, threaten violence, and use force against fellow citizens as a means of protest. You don't get to hurt people or their property because a third party is making an argument you don't like.

Thanks all who offered suggestions. That was a huge help.
I ended up in Austin for 3 days but most of that was work, so I only had brief pockets of time to do fun stuff. I visited 3 different record stores and I also got to hang out at Austin City Limits and eat free food, watch live music, and browse their photo gallery upstairs.
  The first place I went was Waterloo Records!     I loved this shop. It was right in the heart of the action in town, big, well organized, and there were a lot of sale bins and used new arrivals. I picked up a shirt and two records here:      Defiance, Ohio - Great Depression LP used for $8 Busman's Holiday - A Long Goodbye LP (VIP version) only $10 brand new   I didn't notice the inflated prices like mentioned earlier but I was mostly looking in their used and sale sections. I did notice that there were a ton of teen kids there looking for records and it was pretty packed in general.   I also went to End of an Ear.     It's in a less busy part of town by the highway. I loved this shop too. Lots of records and many good prices. If I lived in Austin, this would be my go to place. Less busy than Waterloo. I got two shirts and two records:     Damien Jurado - Maraqopa LP new, it was only $13 so I grabbed it Talking Heads - Little Creatures LP used for $8, not my favorite record by them but I dig it and have been meaning to pick up a cheap used copy   I also went to Encore Records but, to be honest, I didn't like it very much. It was located in a sketchy abandoned part of town (this was around 8-9pm at night on a Saturday). I didn't find anything I would want to pick up. A lot of the used records were shredded dollar bin style LPs (mixed in there was better used stock). Some of the prices I saw were average to high. If I dropped the ball on Encore, let me know and I'd be glad to check it out again if I find myself back in Austin.   Great trip overall. Food wise, we went to Lamberts one night for dinner. Their short rib was awesome. We went to Juan in a Million for breakfast and it was alright. I think I'm already spoiled with Mexican food as a half-Mexican person who lives in Los Angeles. The capitol building was fun to walk around. Cool city.

No matter who caused this, whether it be the left, right or anarchists in general, it frightens me that you think it's "no big deal." Women were punched and even pepper sprayed by masked protestors. To me that's a big deal. Not sure how you could call out WAXX for his comments on women but turn a blind eye to this. But, it's your right, carry on. 

See, I like it when we can actually discuss these sort of things in a logical, rational, and civilized way!

The idea what we should be divided or are divided is exactly how the Democrats lost the election.
 
 
While simplistic, Shitty Rambo's point that "Peace and equality go hand in hand." is true.  Regardless of who did it, riots and destruction need to be prosecuted is fair.  On the other hand, you need to ask WHY people are protesting and address those issues.
 
Alex's point that the statement is too simplistic is not wrong either.  While I don't condone violent reactions I understand them.  I've always had the stance that I'd never throw the first punch, but I won't hesitate to throw the second.  People who take violent recourse need to be dealt with.  The things that influenced them need to be followed up on.  It's a fair argument to say someone like Trump is not RESPONSIBLE for the action, but he is accountable.  He need to use his words and actions to renounce.  If he doesn't, then he is perpetuating the problem through silence and/or inaction.
 
And Ghost's point that division is pointless and counter-productive is definitely true.
