I own a 2008 repress on Universal (Discogs says it was released for the EU) and it sounds pretty good to me. Have never heard those OG pressings, but I can live with the quality of my version. So, for anyone interested, that should be a bit easier to come by than the OGs.

true, that's also why I'll buy a vinyl copy of anything that has digitally remastered slapped onto it.

got my standard copy today. love the spot UV varnish over the entire sleeve, also the overall package is pretty neat! i'm glad that it also sounds very decent. A+ release so far, hopefully they bring some colored/special edition copies with them on their Euro tour this next month.

one of the bands that got me into the genre, and, with their abundance of frequently cool releases, into collecting vinyl. It's so sad to see them go, but I suppose Kathy and Keith are still fine and they are doing this not because they hate each other or whatever. So I think it's a good way to go and everyone of you over there who is able to see them one last time should go and do so

that's what I wanted to express with the last line, sorry if it came off unclear. I'm just not the type for spending that amount on a regular edition record. All the other Death stuff has been repressed recently, too, so I can as well hold out for that to happen.

Death - Individual Thought Patterns LP best metal record of all times in my book. I could have grabbed a copy of the latest repress for retail price a few years back when I was new to the game. 19€ seemed a bit steep for a single LP to me at the time, though, so I opted to get Defeater - Empty Days... 2LP instead because it seemed more sensible to me (it's a cool record, notwithstanding). Of course this is still widely available for anyone to buy. It's not even that this Death LP is super hard to find, I'm just holding off until the next repress.

inhuman cost for a copy over here, as always. just going to hold off until it drops here. New song is ace to say the least.

When I saw them live this last month I felt that the new songs blended perfectly with the rest of the set (which consisted solely of songs off Peripheral Vision) while still going in a slightly different direction, I found them a bit more mellow (if that's possible compared to PV).

Hey guys, does anyone know a source where I can order this from? I am aware that international shipping is more or less the same wherever you look, but for example the CT shops charges $24 to ship two cassette tapes across the pond. Found another copy on discogs, but that would also come out to about $20ppd. The RFC distro has sold out of the tape. Any suggestions would be very welcome!! edit: RFC just restocked on these and I was able to snag a copy along with the Salad Days demo tape. Awesome, just $20ppd total to Germany :-)

spinning my Glassnote copy that I received yesterday right now, and it's a very decent sounding record - very clean, no surface noise, pops or clicks so far. Discogs comments for the 4AD version say that there are some copies with both songs on the same sides - whatever that means for the whole pressing, if ever.

this is what I assume, too. My local shop also has it listed as "blue vinyl", while there apparently isn't such a pressing. I'm really sure that the half/half is what the vast majority of retailers will get.

anyone heard of these guys? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fek_L-LTdZ0 (don't know how to embed YT videos, sorry) band is called Silver Ray, I stumbled upon them on some blog probably 5+ years ago and keep revisiting this record. they seem to be really unpopular, there is hardly anything up on YouTube by them (uploaded the linked vid myself). It's not shoegaze or dreampop by definition, but I do find the atmosphere and especially the guitars to be quite shoegazy actually. Would be cool to hear your opinions on this! There will probably never be a vinyl release unfortunately but I was able to buy the CD version used for like less than $1 so that's cool too I guess.

that's super cool. The entry for the Cherry 12" has disappeared from their store btw (it was labeled as "COMING SOON" before), maybe they are preparing it for actual sale.

saw the same description on some mailorders actually, but always figured it'd be the half baby blue/half royal blue that is listed as the most common variant in the RFC online store.
