  1. Yeah, definitely stay away from those. Also, the legit leak seems to be about twice as large as that (~190 MB).
  2. There's a lot of places I'd expect it to be, honestly. Sometimes they trickle through like this though.
  3. It's definitely out there. There's been a few users on Soulseek (yes, it still exists) that have it, but they keep getting offline when I have it queued up. I have about 45 seconds of the second track, "The Dead are Dumb", it's legit. 320 kbps bit rate, too.
  4. Got my copy in today. Unfortunately, there's some bizarre little scratches on both sides that result in horribly loud clicks and pops. Just sent Deathwish an email; I'm sure they'll help out, as always!
  5. Amazon will almost always sell the retail variant of the record, your best bet is to consult the label's website or Discogs to see what the retail variant is. It will typically be the most recent pressing as well, if there are multiple; however, I have received an earlier pressing from Amazon as well. Just depends how old the stock is. Edit: For Calculating Infinity, you'll likely receive black -- though there may be some first press orange floating around as well, particularly if you buy from a third party. https://store.relapse.com/item/37088 All third party purchases are protected under the same guidelines as a standard Amazon purchase. I'd certainly go to your orders page and take the appropriate action to return/replace it.
  6. Not very much to discuss right now, considering there haven't been any additional details provided in the last year or so. Excited for it, whenever it comes, though.
  7. Getting Chicago tickets was a shitshow; finally managed to get through after like 15 minutes. $95 each. This performance is sure to be well worth it, though.
  8. Not sure if you guys have heard Syberia, but they just posted a track from their new album due out in a few weeks -- it's fucking great. Best quick comparison I can make is akin to Junius (instrumentally) mixed with GIAA, maybe a splash of Latitudes, too. https://dmp666.bandcamp.com/album/resiliency
  9. Finally listening to this now. Much of "Relancer" makes me think of what a post rock song would sound like in Twin Peaks. Digging the album a ton so far.
  10. Full stream on NPR: http://www.npr.org/2016/03/28/472166991/first-listen-john-carpenter-lost-themes-ii
  11. So Popmarket has a bundle of all the past studio albums, plus Gore for $130. Not a bad deal if you're severely lacking in the Deftones vinyl department. Anyways, what's interesting is they're claiming the white vinyl is also limited to 3,500.
  12. Yeah, most of their previously $15 single LP's are now up to $18.
  13. New song, same as what was previewed in the initial trailer. Certainly a logical progression from Dead End Kings. Not totally feeling it yet, though I know it won't be representative of the full album. Really can't recall the last time Jonas sang at a register as high as he does in the chorus though, certainly intriguing.
  14. I picked this up because I'd been slacking on picking up the last repress. I certainly want Sound of Perseverance as well, above all else. It won't be coming from Relapse though -- they confirmed this is the end of their Death reissue campaign and I believe Nuclear Blast own the rights regardless. From what I've heard the 2008 repress through Back on Black sounds pretty awful too.
  15. Don't forget about reggiomedia...."NEW SUPER RARE OOP!!1!!11!!!1!" Just saw he has copies of Dredg - Catch Without Arms for $80 and the Underoath 2xLP for like $300
  16. I just got the new Cobalt album in from MerchTable and it was in a large mailer with reinforcement on the sides. Definitely not the usual crap they use. I still had minor seam splits, but they're 180g+ records that were in the jacket and dug through, can't really fault them for that.
  17. Oh yeah, musically it's undeniably Cult of Luna. While there are some synth-laden ambient parts that aren't unlike parts of Vertikal (and more specifically Vertikal II), the vast majority is full of the CoL riffs you love. There's also some clean guitar riffs on one track that wouldn't sound out of place on Salvation. If you're not a Julie Christmas fan, I could see this being a somewhat disappointing first listen. But it's also extremely layered that it'll take quite a few listens to really delve into what's going on. I guess that can be said for just about all of their releases though. I'm just trying to say that I could see some hardcore fans being disappointed with Julie's vocals and not giving this album a chance -- and that would be a damn shame.
  18. I have no patience and am a terrible human being, so I caved and listened. Played it through my home stereo system and the quality isn't bad at all -- maybe slightly compressed. As far as the music, it's fucking great. However, I'm a fanboy and Cult of Luna can do no wrong. Without spoiling much, it's a logical step forward from Vertikal for the most part. I'll also say that Julie is certainly more prominent throughout the album than "A Greater Call" would indicate. There are a couple of tracks were Johannes has little to no vocal presence.
  19. Looks like we have a leak...bitrate of 160kbps though. #firstworldproblems. I'll probably try to hold out for now
  20. Omega Order/The End also tend to have their exclusive PO's be "order-to-press" to an extent. I can't recall any of their recent exclusive pressings from the last couple of years ever selling out either. Given the rather distant shipping date on this, I wouldn't be worried about these selling out anytime soon.
  21. All over a regular edition as well, thanks! Will probably grab it with the new Candlemass and exclusive Katatonia pressing they have up.
