tonyregret got a reaction from turk99 in PO - The Mighty Mighty BossToneS - When God Was Great - May 7th
Nate is back. I listened to his interview on the One Life One Chance podcast, he played on 5 of the tracks on the album. His involvement with the band began when he was working with Dicky on a potential solo album. Nate is featured on some of the new artwork that is floating around.

very stoked that I scored one of these before they sold out. I was in the right place at the right time for once and saw LTJ's post on IG within the minute it was posted.

tonyregret got a reaction from Fowty Dollaz in PO NOW: The Chinkees - KA Music 12"
He should have put the Chinkees songs from that split on the B-side to this. It would be similar to what he did with the Bruce Lee Band album from last year, 7 new songs on the a-side and 5 songs from an older ep on the flip side.

I really dug The Hallow, it was more of a Body/horror film than I expected it to be. It had a great creepy vibe.
Yesterday i watched The Omen and Texas Chainsaw 3D. I was pleasantly surprised with chainsaw, I have never been a huge fan of that franchise and I thought this was one of the better films in it.

Last night I watched Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. It never disappoints me. Nate Baesal is just so likable in the documentary portion of the film. I love the little cameos from horror greats. The writers put a lot of heart into the script and it shows.
Tonight I think I am going to watch We Are Still Here.

Just finished The Mind's Eye. Very impressed, fans of Scanners will love it. Great, bloody fun with a creepy synth score.

Today we did Adams Family Values. Now I'm watching Curse of Chucky (it's bad) and when my girlfriend gets home after midnight we're doing Beetlejuice. Tomorrow we start the ghost portion of the month.

Buy from this guy! Great prices and he packages his records like a champ

tonyregret got a reaction from drewvandal in Oasis Reissues
Agreed with the sonic quality of the Standing reissue. I always thought that was the last great Oasis album. It has a different vibe then the rest of the bands catalogue, very transitory. While each of the albums done with Gem and Andy have their moments, the consistency was long gone.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

tonyregret got a reaction from jtcohenour in WTB: Face to Face - Selt-Titled LP (1996)
This is being repressed later this year if you want to avoid paying a big price. Trever said that the S/T, Big Choice and Don't Turn Away are all getting repressed this year thru his Antagonist label.

tonyregret got a reaction from YesPlease in Blink-182 - California (Out Now!)
So bummed over this record. As a huge fan of Trio and Blink, I thought this would be a summer banger. It's soulless, generic garbage. None of Skiba's influence comes across in the songs. It sounds nothing like +44, I don't know why anyone would compare it to that. It just reeks of a John Feldman steered ship.

tonyregret got a reaction from aopps42 in The Walking Dead
The shark jump happened with Glenn and the dumpster, Walking Dead is just playing it safe and not taking risks. I'll be watching in October because I've stuck with it this long, but I won't be surprised when it's just Eugene or Abraham gone from the show.

tonyregret got a reaction from Young Thug in The X Files
So many legit laugh out loud moments in episode 3, it was up there with Jose Chung and Bad Blood. This was the first episode of the revival that I feel would not have been out of place on the show during its heyday.

tonyregret got a reaction from kyacrash in BossToneS vs. Asbestos Records Reissues?
They really sound nothing like that. I can't imagine what the reaction would be if Flood or another similar label licensed...Brand New's Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. And the label changed the artwork and misspelled a bunch of shit, not one or two things but eight or nine. And you paid a lot of money for it, only to find our Brand New didn't want the thing released. This thread would be a completely different vibe.

"Anything else is always something better."
"Think of the customer as a hurdler thinks of a hurdle: a means to an end. We dazzle him with ice work, we baffle him with bottle work."
"There are many ways to fool a customer. The short pour. The long pour. The ice mountain, the spring thaw. The speed-rack shuffle, the hot shot."
"Beer is for breakfast around here, drink or be gone."
"A bartender is the aristocrat of the working class."
"A man will always be judged on the amount of alcohol he can consume. And a woman will be impressed, whether she likes it or not."
"Never show surprise, never lose your cool."
"There are two kinds of people in this world, the workers and the hustlers. The hustlers never work and the workers never hustle."
"The luck is gone, the brain is shot, but the liquor we still got."
"Bury the dead, they stink up the joint."
