  1. With Darjeeling out too, I would think the box set is far less likely to happen and this approach is what they decided to go with instead.
  2. I've had good luck contacting labels with this kind of request in the past (though only once or twice, admittedly). Offer to pay for shipping, though they'll probably just send for free if they have extras.
  3. Maybe. Though they still haven't sold 500 of these: http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma/ProductDisplay_There%20Will%20Never%20Be%20Silence:%20Double%20LP%20from%20MoMA/MoMA%20PS1%20Records_10451_10001_194542_-1_26683_26689
  4. I think there are black bootlegs too. If I recall correctly, the original had a printed inner sleeve and the jacket is on white cardstock (bootlegs on brown).
  5. Amazon France works out to about US$80 shipped. I bet that'll be cheaper than the US price.
  6. My copy of the 10" also came signed, which was a nice bonus. Imagine it's probably the same for all of them.
  7. You sold it to me. Gracias. Not sure about the current edition, but first edition of the book is about two thick novels.
  8. Not to stray off topic, but Beck's "Sea Change" is also available in an excellent 5.1 mix.
  9. I'll second this. And you can get it cheap on Amazon (mine was $5.57 shipped).
  10. My mistake. That sounds closer to what I would've expected.
  11. If the 4AD webstore inventory is to be believed, they've sold almost 800 of these. Wow.
  12. Love the all at once announcement choice. Would also love a presale window for bundle pt. 1 purchasers, but that's because I'm selfish.
  13. It is really only Clumsy and Naveed that I remember enjoying as a kid. I feel like at that time, just before they broke in the US, they were on par with MGB and Sloan commercially. Sloan was distributed by Universal for a number of years around that time.
  14. Also a few Eric's Trip/Elevator 7"s downstairs on the wall at Sonic Boom in Toronto. All like $25-30 though.
  15. I can't believe that the recent vinyl pressing of The Super Friendz "Mock Up, Scale Down" (limited to 500) is still available. This is one of the best 90s Canadian indie albums, hands down. If you're so inclined, you can buy it here: https://www.kt8merch.com/store/pages/21411/___LIMITED_EDITION_The_Super_Friendz_-_Mock_Up%2C_Scale_Down_-_Double_LP.htm
  16. Here's an interesting (and recent) piece on Transistor Sound & Lighting Co., for those wondering what happened: http://noisey.vice.com/en_ca/blog/retrospective-reviews-transistor-sound--lighting-cos-self-titled-album Such a great album that slipped through the cracks.
  17. You can still order it from the label in Spain. Got my copy last summer. It was EUR26 shipped to the U.S. from this friendly guy: [email protected]
  18. Anyone in the US still need Neko Case's "Fox Confessor"? Picked up an extra in Toronto today. Will sort you out for a good price with domestic shipping.
  19. They've had these in the "new" bin at Rotate This within the past couple years. Worth a check if you're in Toronto. That's where I got mine maybe 5 years ago, but I've definitely seen them since. Wish I had seen this earlier and I would've looked for you when I was there today. I need the SFTRI split with the Spaeshits to round out my collection. It's a tough find.
  20. I'll put together a list at some point. My applicable collection is substantial (including everything Thrush Hermit, Joel Plaskett and Sloan has put out on vinyl, following my recent acquisition of "Action Pact" from someone in Spain). Apart from a bunch of 45s, the only Thrush Hermit vinyl that exists is a "Great Pacific Ocean" picture disc. I have an extra copy if someone maybe has a worthy trade or a decent offer. I've found Eric's Trip/Elevator (to Hell)(Through) vinyl to be the most expensive, for whatever reason. Still a long ways away from completing that collection. And I'm only a Stinkin' Rich 7" away from a complete Murderecords singles collection. It pops up every now and again for ~$100, which is dumb.
  21. Maybe. Most people know replacement stock typically goes up first Monday of the month, and yet I've never experienced any lag with the site for those sales. Even a "random time on X date" announcement would help, like Mondo. They always manage to do it relatively smoothly.
