  1. Any consensus on whether phone or email customer service is better for replacements? My five LPs were really well packed, but one was open and the jacket is worn. Hoping they'll ship me out a new one.
  2. Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", about 20 years ago when I was a young kid, at the original basement Bluestreak in Peterborough, Ontario. Thanks Tim.
  3. Legal nerd alert. It falls under a concept called an invitation to treat. There's no contract, and no obligation for them to sell to you at the advertised discount. The terms aren't specific enough for there to be a contract (e.g. shipping is not addressed, and it's unclear if it applies to only one item).
  4. I prefer the Sleeve City Ultimate Audiophile ones. They're a bit heavier than MoFi, and only slightly more expensive. However, my last order had about 1/4 that weren't fully sealed along the bottom. They were good about sending replacements, but hoping it's not a bigger quality control issue. Needless to say, check them before you drop an LP right through.
  5. US pressing numbers are in here: http://download.recordstoreday.com/free/RSD_2015_RELEASES_WEBSITE.pdf
  6. A request for my fellow Canadians: DFA1979 pic disc I am an expat and won't have a shot at it. Happy to try to help with any US releases!
  7. For anyone looking for "I've got a friend called Emily Ferris" on 10" vinyl, the Milk! Records store has some: http://courtneybarnett.bandcamp.com/album/ep1-ive-got-a-friend-called-emily-ferris Bit spendy with shipping from Australia, but the cheapest on Discogs right now is $77. Also, the site says this is an "edition of 50". Not sure if that means a super-limited repress or a recently discovered box.
  8. If anyone in Europe can help me out with The (International) Noise Conspiracy live LP, I'd be happy to try to help out with US-only stuff.
  9. First I've heard of that Sloan 12". Not much in the way of details, but nice surprise.
  10. Seems to be some random exclusions (e.g. Beastie Boys' "Check Your Head" didn't work for me).
  11. Thanks for this, OP. Picked up some back-burner stuff. The Strokes - Comedown Machine - $11.41 Death Cab for Cutie - Codes and Keys - $15.14 Belle and Sebastian - Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant - $11.69 Beastie Boys - Ill Communication - $17.64
  12. Any chance Album of the Year is getting a nice tip-on jacket like the deluxe Ugly Organ and Mama, I'm Swollen? I'd pay extra for those to be used exclusively on everything.
  13. Agreed. If there really was a comeback tour, I'd hope they wouldn't just reuse old graphics.
  14. I really can't see this being a reunion so soon after the farewell. Unless AOF is the new KISS...
  15. They sent a little catalog with my last order that had a 15% code, but can't find it now. Anyone have it?
  16. Personally, because I'm lazy. Also, a box set with extras would have been a nice treatment.
  17. I'll have to check my copy, but pretty sure it was switched around on the original. Imagine it's so that tracks fit on two LPs.
  18. Seems a lot of people (myself included) are in the same boat. Must've been a very small run. Funny how there's such high demand among collectors for such a mediocre album. I think I've come across three copies of Rhodes Jam in the same time I've been looking for Action Pact...
  19. This is my script: "Could you kindly ship the vinyl in generic paper inner sleeves (packed outside the jacket and any printed inner sleeves) to prevent seam splits in transit? If possible, please pack the jacket, vinyl and sleeves together in a plastic outer sleeve." Not too long, and covers the main points. Might get more detailed in the $100+ range. I think it's perfectly appropriate to provide instructions like this, given that sellers sometimes just don't know better/care (which I have to assume is the case unless I've dealt with them before). I also pack this way when I sell, so have no problem asking for it as a buyer.
  20. Any confirmation that these expanded versions will involve vinyl? Could go either way based on that e-mail.
  21. Amoeba page is working now. Slightly more expensive than Dead Tank but I know/trust Amoeba's packaging.
