F them for putting a jump scare at the beginning of the trailer.  I hate that shit, because they get me every time.  Everything else looked great.  When that saber fired up, I instantly thought "whoa, Darth Kurgan?!?"  Ha ha.
 
Disclaimer-I like the prequel trilogy.  I am one of the small minority of Star Wars fans who grew up with the originals, liked the prequels, and will probably enjoy every Star Wars movie ever made, just because.  Enjoy the ride, people.

Here is the U.S. version if anyone was interested.  The dark red marbling matches the color of the "Boy" in the logo, while the overall color matches the mix of oranges in the rest of the cover.  It's a pretty cool package, and I think it's much better than if they had succeeded in making it solid red.

I swear I searched for one and didn't find it.  But just now it appears as the very last result on the very last page of a search for Bandcamp.  So delete this thread I guess.

Yeah, I know, that's a really dated American Pie reference.  Having discovered Bandcamp.com and all the vinyl available for sale there, I wanted to start a thread showcasing some of the better music people might come across.  I didn't want to start a new thread for each release as some of these are older releases, not preorders.
 
I set up some rules for myself on buying records there, to keep from spending too much.  The album has to be offered on vinyl (duh) and has to have at least a moderate amount of design work put into the labels, jacket etc.  And the music has to have high production values.  There are some really terrible records (my opinion) with some great artwork on that site.
 
Feel free to post old or new releases from Bandcamp in this thread that you think people should know about.   With all that said, this is what I bought this week at Bandcamp.

I could make up a few reasons I was sold on this release, but the truth is I am just a sucker for delicate female vocals.  I thought it was cool that they took photos during year long production of the album, and then include one with each purchase.

Add in the accessories, articulation/size and licensing, the Iron Giant figure is going to cost. As was previously mentioned, boutique toys like Hot Toys are selling upwards of $200 each, and those aren't 16 inches tall. Plus the fan base of Iron Giant is rabid for merchandise, so cha-ching $$ eyes.
You also have head of Mondo interviewed saying that the old Iron Giant super-figure goes for $700 on eBay. Expect them to spin their own figure: "look, our figure is almost as tall as the old one, way more detailed and much more limited... and it's only half the cost of the old figure."
Am I nervous? No, at $300 I might be in the market for one. If it breaches $400, I'm out. This is all my opinion of course, and I am nobody of note. Heck, I hope I am way off, they are under $200 and I can get two. One MIP and one to play with. But did anyone expect Mikey the ninja turtle to cost $105? I didn't see that one coming, but I avoid vinyl toy collecting.
